Mr. Robert P. "Doc" Little, Sr., age 72 of 231 Hames Avenue,
Jonesville, widow of Kathy Horne Little, died Friday, September
30, 2011 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Little was born in Union County, SC September 1, 1939, a son
of Daisy Procter Little of Jonesville and the late William
Little. He was a graduate of Jonesville High School and was
member of Glory Baptist Church. Mr. Little was a Veteran of the
US Army.
Surviving are a daughter, Deborah Snapp (Richey) of Pacolet; a
step-daughter, Jessica LeVister of Union; a son, Robert P.
Little, Jr. (Patti) of Jonesville; two brothers: Roy Little of
Jonesville and Ted Little of Blacksburg; four grandchildren:
Ashley Snapp, Zach Snapp both of Pacolet, Tabitha Little, Colby
"Skinny" Little both of Jonesville; a special nephew, Billy
Little of Jonesville; a number of nieces, nephews, and a host of
other family members of Union.
Graveside services will be held 2:00PM Tuesday, October 4, 2011
at Mt. Joy Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Mark
Truitt and Deacon Josh Rochester.
Mr. Little will be taken to the home, 231 Hames Avenue,
Jonesville Monday, where the family will receive friends after
11:00 AM.

Cpt. (Retired) James R. Rountree, Sr., age 94 of Wimbleton Rd.,
Union, widow of Margaret Caldwell Rountree, died Friday,
September 30, 2011 at Ellen Sager Nursing Home.
Mr. Rountree was born in Buffalo, SC January 2, 1917, a son of
the late Thomas Jefferson Rountree and Rosa Riley Rountree. He
was a graduate of Union High School and a 1939 graduate of
Wofford College, where he played football. Mr. Rountree was a
Veteran of World War II, serving with the United States Army. He
later retired from the Army having earned the rank of Captain.
Mr. Rountree was retired from the United States Postal Service
and was an avid golfer. He was an active member of Grace United
Methodist Church as long as his health permitted where he taught
the David Clyburn Sunday School Class for twenty-three years.
Surviving are two sons: James R. Rountree, Jr of Charlotte, NC
and John F. Rountree of Union; four grandchildren; three
great-grandchildren and a sister, Marguerite Rountree of Union.
Mr. Rountree was predeceased by a daughter, Judith A. Rountree.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM at the graveside, Friday,
October 7, 2011 at Grace United Methodist Church conducted by
Rev David Caughman.
Memorials may be made to Grace Untied Methodist Church, 201 S.
Church Street, Union, SC 29379.

Proctor
Union, SC
Mr. Clifford F. Proctor, age 93, of Oakmont Residential,
formerly of River Rd., Union, died Friday, September 30, 2011 at
Regional Hospice Home. He was the widow of Catherine Vanderford
Proctor.
Mr. Proctor was born in Cherokee County, SC October 2, 1917,
a son of the late Roy Proctor and Viola Farr Proctor. He was a
graduate of Kelly-Pinckney High School and retired from Milliken
Company-Lockhart Plant after forty-three years of service. Mr.
Proctor was a member of Philippi Baptist Church where he was a
former Deacon. He was a Veteran of the US Army having served in
World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart. Mr. Proctor took
part in the beach landings of allied forces in North Africa,
Sicily and the D Day Invasion of Normandy. He landed on Omaha
Beach with the Red Zone invaiders.
Surviving are a daughter, Karen P. Stevens (Brad) of West
Springs; two granddaughters: Leslie Register (Jeremy) of Moore
and Carly Painter (Trent) of Pauline; three great-grandchildren:
Riley and Reid Register and Ava Reese Painter; three sisters:
Daisy Little, Wilhamenia Littlejohn (Bill) all of Jonesville,
Katie Lee Williams (Bob) of Hilton Head, and Annie Belle
Carpenter of Asheville, NC. Mr. Proctor was predeceased by two
sisters: Vera Ruth Samples and Bertha Fowler and a brother,
Arthur Miller Proctor.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, October 2, 2011
at Philippi Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Brad Goodale and
Rev. Tommy Mann. Bural will be in the church cemetery with
Military Honors.
Active pallbearers will be Roy Little, John Carpenter, Bobby
Vaughan, Michael Vanderford, Ronnie Crocker, Bill All, Eddie
Gibson and James D. Gregory.

Mrs. Shirley Austin Ramsey, 75 of Senate Street, Union went
home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 27,
2011 at 11:03 PM surrounded by her family and friends after a
long illness.
Mrs. Ramsey was born in Union on May 20, 1936, a daughter of
the late Lizzie Ruth Austin. She retired from Conso Products and
was a member of New Life Baptist Church where she was a member
of the Young at Heart Sunday School Class. She was the last
surviving member of her immediate family.
Mrs. Ramsey is survived by two daughters: Darnell R. Ponder (Maxie)
of Buffalo and Tammie R. Lovelace (Ted) of Union; a son, Francis
Ramsey (Cathy) with whom she made her home; five grandchildren:
Tracey T. Bevis (Dennis), Scott Turner (Tonya), Wendy R. Rector
(Jack), Julie R. Murphy (Matt), Roman Walker (Emily); eight
great-grandchildren: Michael Conejo, Dustin Turner, Trey Bevis,
Katie Turner, Reid Bevis, Jay Rector, Eli Rector and Breeland
Walker; two step-grandchildren and four
step-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Ramsey was predeceased by a
grandson, Jason Ramsey and a sister, June A. Martin.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM today at New Life
Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Robert Branch. Burial will be
in Rosemont Cemetery.
Mrs. Ramsey’s grandsons and great-grandsons will service as
pallbearers, Scott Turner, Roman Walker, Michael Conejo, Dustin
Turner, Roger Turner and Mark Walker. Members of Mrs. Ramsey’s
Sunday School Class are asked to sit in a group along with the
Staff of Harmony Care Hospice, Rhonda LeMaster, Dianne Kendricks,
Allison Williams, Diane Horn and Danny Inman. Honorary
Pallbearers will be Ricky Wix, Steve Crumbly, Gibby Arthur,
Curly Carter and Leo Henderson..
Mrs. Ramsey will be placed in the church 2:00 PM today to
await the hour of service.

Mrs. Alma Ruth "Mama Ruth" McGowan age 92, passed away on
September 21, 2011 at Golden Hill Health Care Facility.
Mrs. McGowan was born in Union, SC, a daughter of the late
James Thomas and Thaddie Horne Morris. She moved to New York in
1960.
Ruth was the beloved wife of the late Clifton "Tip" McGowan;
loving mother of two daughters Pat Escoe and husband John of
Belton and Judy Aidala of Kingston, NY and son, the late Billy
Morris who died in 2008. She is also survived by a sister: Lib
Smith and husband Al of Union and was predeceased by two
brothers, Clarence and Virgil Morris and a sister, Annie Mae
Bradley. She has six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren
and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held in Union at a later date.

Mrs. Irene Estes Nave, age 75 of 259 Brown’s Creek Rd.,
Union, SC, widow of Harvey Nave, passed away Thursday, September
22, 2011 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Nave was born in Union, SC March 15, 1936, a daughter of
the late John F. Estes and Jessie Mae Corder Estes. She was a
graduate of Lockhart High School and Cherokee Nursing School.
Mrs. Nave retired from Wallace Thomson Hospital after forty plus
years of service and was a member of Philippi Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Joy Smith and husband Jason of
Union; a son, John Nave and wife Caroline of Greenwood; three
grandsons: Ryder Smith, Carson Nave and Camden Nave and a
special cousin, Carrie Mae Thompson of Buffalo.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, September 24,
2011 at Philippi Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Brad Goodale.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Cavender was born in Lockhart, SC March 13, 1932, a
daughter of the late Rev. L.D. Revis and Eula Pack Revis. She
had attended Union County Schools; was a member of Union County
Senior Citizens and was of the Baptist Faith.
Surviving are a daughter, Cindy Hayes and special friend Dan
Tumblin of Laurens; two sons: Danny Cavender and wife Pam and
Steve Cavender all of Union; three sisters: Linda Carol Wilburn
of Union, Doris Harrison and husband Jack of Boiling Springs and
Louise Smith of Union; two brothers:Roy Revis of Spartanburg and
Harold Revis of Union; four grandchildren: Nikki Harris and
husband James, Chrystal Todd and husband Daniel, Andrew Cavender
all of Union and Billy Cavender of Gastonia, NC and two
great-grandchildren: Luke Harris and Cameron Todd. Mrs. Cavender
was predeceased by a son, William B. “Bucky” Cavender and two
brothers, Maxie Revis and Charles Revis.

Mrs. Betty D. Bledsoe, age 78, of 100 Bobo Street, Union,
passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Spartanburg Regional
Hospice Home.
Mrs. Bledsoe was born March 7, 1933 in Union, a daughter of
the late Douglas and Mary O’Shields Davis. She retired from
United Merchants Buffalo Plant and was a member of Brown’s Creek
Baptist Church. Mrs. Bledsoe was first married to the late Orvel
Henry Lawson and later to the late Glenn Bledsoe.
Surviving are two sons; Mike Lawson of the home and Henry
Lawson, Jr. and wife Charlotte of Turkey, NC; a sister,
Elizabeth Inman of Whitmire; a granddaughter, Misty Lawson
reared in the home of Union. Mrs. Bledsoe was pre-deceased by a
son, Joseph “Joe” Lawson and three brothers, Ed, Lewis, and
Douglas Davis, Jr.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, September, 23, 2011 at
2:00 PM at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev.
Robert Jarvis. Burial will follow at Brown’s Creek Baptist
Church Cemetery.

Ms. Patsy Ann Davis, age 46, wife of Augustine Roblies, of 50
Eerie Drive, Nebo, NC, passed away on Tuesday, September 20,
2011 at McDowell Hospital.
Ms. Davis was born November 11, 1965 in Union, SC, a daughter
of Ms. Polly Ann Champion and the late James Robert Davis. She
was a member of Fairforest Baptist Church, where she was
baptized in 1974. Ms. Davis was a graduate of Union High School
and attended Spartanburg Technical College and Nursing School in
North Carolina. She was formerly a long haul truck driver
and previously worked with Autumn Care in North Carolina, caring
for the elderly.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 20 years are two
daughters: Casey Lynn Damouth of Kentucky and Amber Dawn Nelson
of Florida; her step-parents, James Monroe and Nancy Smith of
Union, SC; two sisters, Sherry Kirby and Candice Davis Helms
both of Union, SC; her maternal grandparent, Harold and Corrie
Vaughan of Buffalo, SC; six grandchildren, Cheyenne Champion,
Joshua Damouth, Selina Damouth, Jayden Ramos, Aliyah
Ramos, Brianna Ramos, and expecting one more. Ms.
Davis is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces,
nephews, and cousins. She was pre-deceased by her paternal
grandparents Fred and Darnelle Davis.

3:00 PM at Fairforest Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Allen
Gregory and Rev. Robert Branch. Burial will be in the Church
Cemetery.

Mrs. Dorothy Thompson Robinson, age 64, widow of Harold
Wilson Robinson, of 1095 Gaffney Hwy., Jonesville, passed away
Monday, September 19, 2011.
Mrs. Robinson was born in Union, February 27, 1947 a daughter
of the late Ed and Pearl Horne Thompson. She was a graduate of
Jonesville High School and had formerly worked with her daughter
independently hanging wall paper.
Surviving are three daughters: Stephanie Robinson of the
home, Penny Meilinger and husband Mike of Simpsonville and Jill
Madden and husband Chris, (Major S.C. Highway Patrol) of
Lancaster; two sisters: Louise Grady and Shirley Lancaster both
of Union; four brothers: Harold Loyd Thompson, Eddie Thompson,
Jr., and Ralph Thompson all of Union and Fred Thompson of Aiken;
7 grandchildren: Summer Madden, Jackson Madden, Brittany Lining
and husband Nathanael, Kilian Meilinger, Roman Meilinger, Kyra
Meilinger and Eric Meilinger. Mrs. Robinson was predeceased by a
brother, Bobby Lee Thompson.

21, 2011 at Jonesville Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Randy

Mr. Noah Thomas Turner, age 79, husband of Rebecca Ann Davis
Turner of 121 Bird St., Union, SC., died Saturday, September 17,
2011.
Mr. Turner was born in Jonesville, SC March 9, 1932, a son of
the late George Washington Turner, Sr. And Bertha Patterson
Turner. He was a member of the Greater Union Church and a
veteran of the National Guards. Mr. Turner was retired fro the
City of Union as a truck driver.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters: Kathy
Heatherly and husband Marty of the home and Rhonda Benton and
husband Jerry "Butch" of Union; three sons: William Thomas
Turner and wife Ann, Eddie Wayne Turner and wife Tracy all of
Buffalo and Michael Ray Turner and wife Dianne of Union; two
sisters: Virgina Burgess and Hazel Millwood both of Jonesville;
two brothers: George Washington Turner, Jr. and Loyld Turner,
both of Jonesville; eleven grandchildren and eleven
great-grandchildren. Mr. Turner was pre-deceased by three
grandchildren: William Thomas Turner, Jr., Amanda Lynn Turner
and Timothy Mark Lawson, Jr., one sister: Myrtle Keith, two
brothers: Harold Dean Turner and John Lofton Turner.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Tuesday, September 20,
2011 at The Greater Union Church conducted by Dr. John Cody and
Rev. Roger Estes. Burial will be at Rosemont Cemetery.

Mr. William A."Bill" Jones, age 88, of Columbia, SC entered
into eternal rest on Friday, September 16, 2011 at Richland
Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, September
18, 2011 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Jerry
McGee.
Born August 15, 1923, in Greenville, he was the son of the
late Clarence S. And Julia Ammons Jones. Preceding him in death
were sisters, Margaret, Ethel and Betty and brothers, C.B., R.M.,
Clarence and Claude Jones. He was a member of Cleveland Heights
Baptist Church in Lakeland, Florida.
Mr. Jones served in the Army during World War II. He retired
as a car salesman.
Left behind to cherish his memories are his wife of 50 years,
Margaret Ann Gunning Jones; sons, Kenneth E. (Cheryl) Beard of
Irmo, SC and Steve Beard of Cummings, Georgia; three
granddaughters, Sharon Lindler, Stephanie VanDyke and Karan
Willetts; and four great-grandchildren.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends after the graveside service
at Union Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the home of
Vickie Ann Allison, 307 Lakeview Heights, Union, SC.

Phyllis Martin Ashley and was a member of Lockhart Free Will

Wilson, Dallas Griffith, Brenda Hill and Mildred Phillips; eight
granddaughters and five great-grandsons. Ms. Nations was

Abigail Elizabeth Campbell, infant daughter of Jay and

in Spartanburg, May 22, 2011. She was an inspiration to many and
touched the lives of all who loved her.
She is also survived by her sister: Pressley Ann Campbell of

Union; her paternal grandparents: Tommy and Ann Campbell of
Woodruff; a maternal great-grandmother: Margaret Culclasure of
Woodruff; her aunts and uncles: Molly and Lane Barker of

was predeceased by her great-grandparents: Robert and Merle
Crocker, Fred and Julia Goings, James Culclasure and John Hugh

Mrs. Dickinson was born in Chester Co. Pennsylvania,
September 28, 1924 a daughter of the late Elmer and Margaret
Morrison Watters. She was a member of Padgett’s Creek Baptist
Church and was formerly employed as Office Manager with Fast
Phil’s Corp.
Surviving are three daughters: Gail Karcanes of Union; Joyce
Stine of Chester Ssprings, PA, and Geraldine Brown of
Wilmington, DE; a brother: Ralph Watters of Downingtown, PA; a
special niece: Faye Trego of Rileyville, VA; 13 grandchildren,
and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Dickinson was predeceased by a daughter: Judith DeLozier
and a great-grandson: Phillip Brice Karcanes.

2011 at Padgett’s Creek Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Carrol

Mrs. Christine Hart Dobson, age 96 of 400 Springdale Drive
Union died Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Hospice of Laurens.
Mrs. Dobson was married seventy years to the late William Burlin
Dobson. She was formerly of 104 Pinewood Drive, Lyman and was
the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Mrs. Dobson was born in Greer, SC September 8, 1915, a
daughter of Merlin Hart and Georgia Stewart Hart. She was the
oldest member of First Baptist Church of Duncan and was active
as long as her health permitted. Mrs. Dobson was a devoted wife,
loving mother and friend.
Surviving are a daughter, Rebecca Wilson and husband Larry of
Union; a granddaughter, Mary Kelley Wilson of Pacolet; a
grandson, Joel L. Wilson of Denver, NC; three
great-grandchildren: Laurin N. Wilson and her significant other,
Matthew S. Antol both of Anderson, Peyton Caroline Wilson and
Parker Graham Wilson both of Denver, NC.
Mrs. Dobson was predeceased by a sister, Martha H. Blackwell.
Graveside services will be held 3:00 PM Friday, September 16,
2011 at Wood Memorial Park, 863 Gap Creek Rd., Duncan, conducted
by Rev.Benny Green.
Visitation will be held at the graveside immediately
following the service.

Mrs. Pearl Black Cook of Rock Hill, formerly of Chester, SC
and Union, SC, passed away on September 11, 2011, at the Wayne
T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill.
Mrs. Cook was born on August 2, 1925, in Monarch, SC to the
late Hayes C. and Bertha Childers Black. She was a graduate of
Lockhart High School, a member of Lockhart Free Will Baptist
Church where she served for many years as a Sunday School
Teacher, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, and sang in the
choir, and attended Christ Ridge Presbyterian Church in Fort
Mill. She retired from Her Majesty Industries. She spent her
retirement years working in her gardens and was an avid Scrabble
player.
She is survived by one son, Jimmie H. Cook and wife Susan, of
Fleming Island, FL; two daughters, Joyce Cook Mincey of Rock
Hill, and Sharon Cook of Rock Hill and her fiancé David Watkins
of Stanley, NC; two grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, four
great-grandchildren, four step-great grandchildren, and two
step-great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Beulah Black
Barbee of Greensboro, NC; and several loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, James H.
Cook; three brothers, Fred Black, Carl Black, and Tommie Black;
and one sister, Eva Black.
The family will receive friends at Holcombe Funeral Home in
Union, SC on from 6PM to 8PM on Tuesday, September 13, 2011.
Services will be held at Lockhart Free Will Baptist Church,
11:00 AM Wednesday, September 14, 2011 conducted by Rev. Brian
Bishop and Rev. Michael Dixon. Burial will be in Union Memorial
Gardens.

Mrs. Knox was born in Union, January 4, 1951, a daughter of
the late James Puckett and Joyce Pridemore Morris. A member of
Fairforest Baptist Church, she was a homemaker.
Mrs. Knox is survived by a daughter; Gena Knox Webber and a
son; Brian Knox both of the home, a brother; Kerry Flowers of
Union and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, September
13, 2011 at Fairforest Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Allen

Mrs. Latham was pre deceased by a daughter; Duane Comer and a
son ; William David Latham.

Mr. Walter Wilson, Jr. age 80, husband of Betty Burgess
Wilson of 408 B. Street Jonesville, SC died Saturday, September
10, 2011 at Oakmont of Union.
Mr. Wilson was born in Newberry, SC, October 23, 1930, a son
of the late Walter Wilson, Sr. and Alice Mitchell Wilson. He was
the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Mr. Wilson retired from Ford Motor Co. as a welder. He was a
member of the Potter’s House Church in Jonesville.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters; Beverly
Halliday and husband Wayne and Carolyn Burgess of Michigan,
seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one
great-great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday,
September 12, 2011 at Jonesville Memorial Gardens conducted by
Rev. Donnie Moore.

the late Henry Alvin Hawkins and Fannie Elizabeth Enlow Hawkins.
She was formerly employed with Oakmont Nursing Home and Wallace
Thomson Hospital.
Surviving are a daughter: Patricia "Sissy" Dudley of Union; a
son: William Dudley; two sisters: Barbara Robinson and Ada Royer
both of Chester; a brother: Burley Hawkins and wife Margie of
Union; four grandchildren: David, Chris, Brittany and Cricket
Dudley.

Mrs. Amanda Kaye Davis Vaughn, age 32, wife of Jamie Vaughn
of 349 Mt. Vernon Rd., Union, SC went home to be with the Lord
Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Wallace Thomson Hospital.
Mrs. Vaughn was born in Union, SC, a daughter of Richard
“Ricky” Davis and Rhonda McCutcheon Davis of Buffalo. She was a
graduate of Union High School and attended Ashford
University. Mrs. Vaughn was a member of Philippi Baptist Church
and Union Church of God. She was a wonderful, devoted and
loving daughter, wife, mother and sister who will be greatly
missed. Amanda will forever hold our hearts.
Surviving in addition to her husband and parents are a
daughter, Jordan Vaughn of the home; a sister, Kristin Davis; a
brother, Matthew Davis both of Buffalo; special cousins: JR,
Kyle and Joshua Stebbins of Jacksonville, FL; a grandmother,
Nancy McCutcheon of Jacksonville, FL; numerous cousins, aunts,
uncles and a host of friends. Mrs. Vaughn was predeceased by a
grandmother, Betty Davis; grandfathers: Lewis Davis, Richard
McCutcheon and John W. Pettit and an aunt, Annette Stebbins.

daughter of the late Larry Lawson and Marie Simmons Lawson. She
was a 1950 graduate of Cross Anchor High School and had attended
Limestone College Nursing Program. Ms. Duncan retired fro Ace
Sweater and Phillips Hosiery Mill. She was a member of Mt.
Lebanon Baptist Church were she was a member of the Tiny to
Ninety Sunday School Class.
Surviving are two sons: Joey Duncan and wife Debby of Union
and Johnny Duncan and wife Katie of Greenwood; a sister, Iris
Mae Lawson and husband Bobby Joe of Mt. Lebanon community; five
grandchildren: Michael Lee Duncan, Sr. and wife Brooke, Jamica
Duncan, Terry Smith, Jr, Mallory Drew Duncan and Johnny Logan
Duncan; four great-grandchildren: Alexis J. Duncan, Ashley
Brooke Duncan, Araina Star Duncan and Michael Lee Duncan, Jr and
her special pet Chihuahua, Precious. Ms. Duncan was predeceased
by three sisters: Merle Summer, Alice Lawson and Kate Nelson;

Mr. Ruben Henry Hicks, age 73, husband of Mazie Phillips
Hicks of 200 Phillips Lane, Woodruff, passed away Wednesday,
August 31, 2011 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Hicks was born in Owings Station, SC, August 31, 1938, a
son of the late Willie Lee Hicks and Icie Mae Cody Hicks. He was
a self-employed plumber and was of the Church of God faith. Mr.
Hicks was a veteran of the US Army and was retired from the S.C.
National Guard after 24 years. He was first married to the late
Doris Lee Thomas Wicks and was a wonderful husband, father and
grandfather.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters: Kathy
Lee Hicks and husband David Jones of Clifton, and Tina Hines and
husband Michael Rice of Woodruff; four sons: Kenneth Hicks of
McCormick, Daniel Hicks, Timothy Hicks and Cruz Phillips and
fiancée Cindy Cathcart all of Woodruff; two sisters Mary Alice
Hicks of Woodruff and Lula Mae Yarborough of Spartanburg; one
brother: Bobby Hicks of Jonesville; 11 grandchildren: Lee Jones,
