Hames M. Huggins
Former United Merchants employee

Hames M. Huggins, 82, of Union, died Monday, Jan. 31, 2005, at 6 p.m. in Oakmont Nursing Home.

Mr. Huggins was born in Union on May 25, 1922, a son of the late William Thomas Huggins and Dora Hames Huggins. He attended Union High School and was formerly employed with United Merchants, Union Plant.

Mr. Huggins was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by a sister-in-law, Cornelia Farmer Huggins of Union and a number of cousins.

Mr. Huggins was predeceased by three sisters and two brothers, Ethel Huggins, Louise Cooksey and Wilma Blackwell, R. Bruce Huggins and Glenn Huggins.

Graveside services will be held today at 3 p.m. at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Gary Byrd.

Dianne O. Love
PCA International employee

ROCK HILL — Patricia Dianne O’Dell Love, 48, of 1410 Bavand Circle, Rock Hill, died at her residence Monday, Jan. 31, 2005.

Mrs. Love was born in Chester County on Aug. 19, 1956, the daughter of Murray and Betty Gilchrist O’Dell of Sharon. She was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church of Clover. Mrs. Love was a graduate of Lockhart High School and Limestone College and was employed with PCA International. Mrs. Love was a former school leacher.

Surviving in addition to her parents are two daughters, Christie Love of the home and Michelle Love of Clover; a brother, Donald O’Dell and wife Peggy of Sharon and nephew, Kevin Brown of Jonesville.

Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Bullock’s Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Ned Worstall and Elder Oscar Sadler.

The body will remain at the funeral home where the family will receive friends tonight from 6:30 until 8:30.

The family is at the home of her brother, Donald and Peggy O’Dell, 3048 Gilchrist Road, Sharon.

Louis A. Henderson
Retired from Uniblend Spinners

Louis A. “Cucumber” Henderson, 71, husband of Peggy Sanders Henderson of 301 N. Boyce St., Union, died at his residence Thursday afternoon.

Mr. Henderson was born in Union on April 3, 1933, a son of the late Leo B. Henderson Sr. and Viola Adams Henderson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a former member of the S.C. National Guard, Union Unit. Mr. Henderson was a member of the Greater Union Church and was retired from Uniblend Spinners.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Cindy Henderson and friend Stan Harris, and Kathy Black and husband Ricky Black, all of Union; two sons, Bruce Henderson and wife Cheryl of Union and Ken Henderson and wife Jeanne of Spartanburg; three brothers, Leo B. Henderson Jr. of Union, Bobby Gene “Doc” Henderson of Jonesville and Vernon Henderson of Union; a sister, Lois H. Inman of Union; five grandchildren, Jeff Henderson and wife Laura, Mitch Henderson, Meagan Garner and husband Kevin, Tim Treadwell and Chris Treadwell; two greatgrandchildren, Taylor Ginn and Alex Henderson and special friends, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Flynn and Dr. and Mrs. Paul K. Switzer. Mr. Henderson was predeceased by two brothers, Floyd Henderson and Paul Henderson.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Greater Union Church conducted by the Rev. Dr. John Cody and the Rev. Roger Estes. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Larry Rouse, Tim Treadwell, Albert Roark, Ken Palmer, Billy Greene and Harold Coleman.

Kathleen K. Moss
Retired from Lerner Shop

JONESVILLE — Kathleen Kennett Moss, 89, formerly of Jonesville, widow of William Earl Moss Sr., died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005, at 11:20 a.m. in Ellen Sagar Nursing Home.

Mrs. Moss was born in Atlanta on April 22, 1915, a daughter of the late C.W. Kennett and Myrtie Brooks Kennett and Doncie Brooks McCall. She was a graduate of Jonesville High School and was retired clerk for Lerner Shop in downtown Spartanburg. She was a member of the Union Church of Christ.

Surviving are two daughters, Miriam Janet Fleming and husband Joe of Pacolet and Kathy Cudd and husband Donald of Union; a granddaughter reared in the home, Dana Heatherly and husband Scott of Jonesville; a son, William E. “Bill” Moss Jr. of Jonesville; two sisters, Modina Maynard of Eden, N.C. and Jeanette Smith of Alexandria, La.; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and eight great-greatgrandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Union Church of Christ conducted by Minister Curtis Gilbert. Burial will be in Jonesville Memorial Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be Barry Ham, Scott Hamm, Kenny Thompson, Furman Hill, Ben Thompson and Kenny Dawkins.

Men of the Union Church of Christ are asked to assemble at the church Saturday at 2:45 p.m. to form the honorary escort.

Peggy S. Bogan

Mrs. Peggy Sherfield Bogan, 71, of 558 Mudbridge Road, Buffalo, died Sunday, February 6, 2005, at 7:40 a.m. in Oakmont Nursing Home after an extended illness.

Mrs. Bogan was born in Union on October 7, 1933, a daughter of the late Will and Helen Nance Sherfield. She was a graduate of West Springs High School and was retired from the Union County Health Department. Mrs. Bogan was a member of the Bogansville United Methodist Church.

Surviving are a son, Joe Bogan and wife Kay of Moore; two grandchildren, Keela Bogan and Keri Bogan, both of Moore; two special nieces, Lisa Sherfield and Anne Donnan, both of Buffalo; and a number of other nieces and nephews; two sisters, Louise F. Fincher of Buffalo, Violet S. Lawson of Lenoir, NC; and a brother, Paul Sherfield of Buffalo. Mrs. Bogan was predeceased by a sister and three brothers, Lucille S. Calhoun, Bill Sherfield, Bud Sherfield and Bob Sherfield.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the S. R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. Gary Peterson and Rev. Clayton Price. Burial will be in the West Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Virginia Miller Dutch Medford, 76, of 252 Vernon Foster Road, Union, died Sunday in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Medford was born in Greenville, SC, on June 26, 1928, a daughter of the late John and Annie Christopher Miller. She was of the Church of God faith and was retired from Spartan Mills.

Surviving are a daughter, Rebecca M. Anthony of the home; a son, Rev. Ray Medford of Greer; a sister, Blanche McElroy of Candler, NC; three grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at the S. R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel, conducted by Rev. Ray Medford. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens.

JONESVILLE — Beulah Inez Lavander Todd, 84, of 116 Annie Drive, Jonesville, widow of Donnie James Todd, died at her residence Sunday, Feb. 6, 2005.

Mrs. Todd was born on Sept. 26, 1920, a daughter of the late Monroe and Emma Jane Ross Lavander. She was a member of the Union Church of God and was formerly employed with Union Mill.

Surviving are three sons, Miles Arnold Fleming of Buffalo, James L. Todd of New Iberia, La., and Donnie B. Todd of Columbia; three daughters, Nancy Schreiber of Santuc, Cathy Alexander of the home and Mona Fay Neely of Chadbourn, N.C.; 20 grandchildren and 30 greatgrandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. Johnny Burgess. Burial will be in Rosemont Cemetery.

Darlene Brown Lee, 54, wife of Charles W. Lee Sr., of 701 N. Pinckney St., Union, died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2005, at 11:45 a.m. in Wallace Thomson Hospital.

Mrs. Lee was born in Whitmire on Sept. 9, 1950, a daughter of Velma Jean Brown Brown of Union and the late Charles Edward Brown. She was a Baptist.

Surviving in addition to her husband and mother are her children, Charles W. Lee Jr. and Christina Lee, Michael and Phyllis Lee, Rolph and Vicki Toney, Christopher Lee, Clint Lee, Preston J. Lee and Rosemary Lee, all of Union; a special family member, Dorothy J. Anderson of North Carolina; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Ann Marie Lawson Bobo, 72, wife of Bennie Ray Bobo, Sr., of 100 Jenkins Street, Union, died Monday, February 7, 2005, at 12:45 a.m. in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Bobo was born in Cross Keys, SC, on July 28, 1932, a daughter of the late Loyd I. Lawson and Fannie Cathrine Hill Lawson. She was a graduate of Cross Anchor High School and was a member of the former Westside Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Barbara Ann Bobo of Union; three sons, Bennie Ray Bobo, Jr. of Union, Barry L. Bobo and Brian H. Bobo, both of the home; two sisters, Myrtle Eurka L. Smith of Fort Mill, and Mary Emma L. Raines of Tennessee; a brother, Belton Hill Lawson of Cross Keys; and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bobo was predeceased by two sisters and two brothers, Fannie Mae Calicutt, Betty Jean Totherow, William Fletcher Buck Lawson and Paul Irvin Toby Lawson.

GAFFNEY — Elsie Lee Jolly-Cooper, 79, formerly of W. Main St., Union, wife of Jay Cooper of 2452 Overbrook Drive, Gaffney, died Monday, Feb. 7, 2005, at 11:30 a.m. in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center after a period of declining health.

Mrs. Jolly-Cooper was born in Gaffney on Oct. 15, 1925, a daughter of the late Vivian Dane Jolly and Rachel Whelchel Jolly. She was a graduate of Gaffney High School. Mrs. Jolly-Cooper was a member of the Midway Baptist Church of Gaffney and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a retired beautician and formerly owned and operated the Friendly Beauty Salon.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a step-son, Troy Cooper of Gaffney; a step-daughter, Sandra Cooper of Gaffney; six step-grandchildren and nine step-greatgrandchildren.

Edith Ivey Foster, 67, wife of Charles N. Foster of 262 Pineland Road, Union, died at her residence Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2005, at 8:30 p.m.

Mrs. Foster was born in Union on Nov. 24, 1937, a daughter of the late Herbert and Sarah Harvey Ivey. She was a graduate of Union High School and was former owner and operator of Union Trophy Shop in Union for 30 years. Mrs. Foster was a member of Fairforest Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a granddaughter, Amity E. Marcy of the home; a sister, Frances I. Greer of Union; a stepdaughter, Evonne Stephens of Union; a stepson, Ricky Foster and wife Terri of Union; five nieces, Jackie Weber of Union, Vera Gault of Spartanburg, Janet Rogers of Wellford, Kathy G. Laura Elizabeth Sprouse Lawson, 83, formerly of 517 Thompson Blvd, Union, widow of George Perrin Lawson, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005, at 2:40 a.m. in Wallace Thomson Hospital after a period of declining health.

Mrs. Lawson was born in Union on Sept. 22, 1921, a daughter of the late Walter L. Sprouse Sr. and Mason Herring Sprouse. She was a graduate of Union High School, Class of 1939 and was retired manager of McCory’s Dime Store on Main Street. Mrs. Lawson was an active member of Grace United Methodist Church as long as her health permitted.

Surviving are a daughter, Martha L. Jolly and husband William of Union; a sister, Geraldine Bailey of Decatur, Ga.; a brother, Walter L. Sprouse Jr. and wife Polly of Marietta, Ga.; a granddaughter, Laura J. Horlacher of Union; three great-grandsons, Coleman Ferrell, David Horlacher, and Will Horlacher, all of Union; and a special sister-in-law, Sara V. Sprouse of Union. Mrs. Lawson was predeceased by two brothers, Bobby Sprouse and Ervin Sprouse.

Retired Public Safety investigator

Glenn Boyd Toney Jr., 64, husband of Mary Gregory Toney of 100 Wesminister Circle, Union, died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2005, at 9:04 p.m. in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center after a period of declining health.

Mr. Toney was born in Union on Aug. 11, 1940, a son of the late Glenn Boyd Toney Sr. and Nancy Aileen Eaves Toney. Mr. Toney was a retired sergeant investigator with the City of Union Public Safety Department. He was a graduate of the S.C. Criminal Justice Academy. Mr. Toney was formerly employed as a supervisor with United Merchants, Union Plant, for 28 years. He was a member of Crestview Baptist Church, formerly Westside Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and had also served on the Union County Red Cross Board. Mr. Toney was a former Mason and Shriner.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Lisa Toney Ohls and husband Lee A. Ohls of Spartanburg; two sons, Randall B. Toney of Spartanburg and Richard M. Toney and wife Cheryl H. Toney of Tampa, Fla..; a stepdaughter, Tammy C. Walker and husband Scott Walker of Warner Robbins, Ga.; a stepson, Henry G. Campbell and wife Lisa Campbell of Union; a sister, Betty Toney Hopkins and husband George Hopkins of Saluda; eight grandchildren, Jacob Patterson, Grace Ohls, Ashton Toney, Kathleen Toney, Michael Walker, Carli Walker, Tabitha Campbell and Casey Campbell.

Mrs. Geneva I. Inman, 83, of 125 Inman Drive, Buffalo, SC, died Friday, February 11, 2005, at Ellen Sagar Nursing Home. Mrs. Inman was the widow of Sam E. Inman.

Mrs. Inman was born in Buffalo, May 11, 1921, the daughter of the late Hobert Inman and Pearl Wright Inman. Mrs. Inman was retired from United Merchants and Manufacturing Buffalo Plant. She was a member of Fairforest Baptist Church and attended Buffalo United Methodist Church.

Surviving are a sister, Valerie Phillips of Buffalo; two brothers, Bill Inman of Spartanburg and Roger Inman of Laurencevile, GA. Mrs. Inman was predeceased by an infant daughter; a sister, Virginia Vanderford; and a brother, Jennings Inman.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, at Buffalo United Methodist Church, by the Rev. Mickey Fisher. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in the parlor of Buffalo United Methodist Church Sunday, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Dorethea Walton White

Mrs. Dorethea Walton White, 70, wife of Douglas R. White, of 4042 Carlisle-Santuc Hwy., Carlisle, SC, died Friday, February 11, 2005 at 4:10 p.m., in Wallace Thomson Hospital.

Mrs. White was born in Union June 16, 1934, the daughter of the late Jack Walton and Nellie Williford Walton. She was a graduate of Union High School and the former owner and operator of the Carlisle Fish Camp. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and attended Carlisle United Methodist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Debra White of Carlisle; a son, Douglas R. White, Jr.; a sister, Hazel Mills of Union; two brothers, Jackie Walton and Jerry Walton, both of Union; two grandchildren.

Crypt side services will be held at Union Memorial Gardens Mausoleum at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, by the Rev. Warren M. Jones.

Jack Kelly Jr.
Retired railroad engineer

Jack Kelly Jr., of 1461 Jonesville Highway, Union, died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2005, at Wallace Thomson Hospital.

A native of Union, he was married to Frances Keisler Kelly for 64 years. He was the son of the late Jack Kelly Sr. and Eva Gallman Kelly. He was a retired engineer with Norfolk Southern Railway and a member of Grace United Methodist Church. Mr. Kelly served on the Union County School District Board of Trustees for 17 years and also served on the Bonham Fire Department Board.

Surviving in addition to his wife are: two daughters, Mary Frances Kelly Woodall and her husband, Dr. Michael V. Woodall Sr. of Douglasville, Pa.; Dr. J. Andrea Kelly of Florence; three sons, Lt. Col. Thomas Russell Kelly (Ret.) and his wife, Laurie, of Annandale, Va., Jack Kelly III and his wife, Linda, of Union and Richard McKay Kelly and his wife, Cornelia, (Neely) of Union; a sister, Helen Ruth (Kelly) Cochran of Charlotte; an aunt, Mrs. Paul (Rita) Greene; six grandchildren, Michael Vance Woodall Jr., and his wife, Dawn, of Darlington, Kevin Francis Woodall and is wife, Collin, of Corte Madara, Calif; Dr. Timothy Gerrard Woodall and his wife, Dr. Kristi V. Woodall of Union, Mary Kathleen W. World War II veteran

Hubert A. “Tom” Lang, 79, widower of Wilma Whitman Lang, 2860 Buffalo-West Springs Highway, Buffalo, died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2005 at Wallace Thomson Hospital after a brief illness.

Mr. Lang was born in Brooksville, Fla., Sept. 30, 1925, a son of the late Edwin and Clarice Brown Lang. He was retired from Jackson Product, Tampa, Fla., and after moving to Union had worked with the Holcombe Cemeteries, Inc. Mr. Lang was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during World War II and was a former auxiliary deputy sheriff with the Pasco County, Fla., sheriff ’s dept. He was a member of the Full Gospel Tabernacle Church in Buffalo.

Surviving are a daughter, Shelia Cook and husband the Rev. Rick Cook of Buffalo; two sons, Jerry Jackson and wife Debbie of New Port Richey, Fla. and Randy Lang and wife Betty of Land O’Lakes, Fla.; one brother, Richard Lang of Brooksville, Fla.; seven grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren.

Dorothy Johnson Smith, 81, formerly of 1286 Meadowood Road, Buffalo, widow of James L. Smith, died Friday, Feb. 18, 2005, at 4:05 a.m. in Wallace Thomson Hospital after an extended illness.

Mrs. Smith was born in Jonesville on Sept. 24, 1923, a daughter of the late William Z. and Etta Elizabeth Glass Johnson. She was a member of Lower Fairforest Baptist Church and was retired from Her Majesty. Mrs. Smith was first married to the late Woodrow Wilson Shetley.

Surviving are two daughters, Carol Shetley and Annie Ruth Robinson and husband Jack, all of Union; a son, James T. Shetley and wife Helen of Jonesville; a brother, Herbert F. Johnson of Union; five grandsons, Kenneth Wayne Shetley, Harold Eugene Shetley and wife Samantha, Robert Earl Shetley and wife Kelly, Dennis Mark Shetley and James H. Shetley; seven great-grandchildren and three greatgreat-grandchildren. Mrs. Smith was predeceased by a daughter, Brenda E. Shetley and a grandson, Walter R. Shetley.

Arthur “Bud” Willard, husband of Hassie Osborne Willard, 2152 Buffalo-West Springs Highway, Buffalo, died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005, at 9:28 a.m. in Wallace Thomson Hospital.

Mr. Willard was born in Cross Keys, the son of the late Edward and Mary Florence Wilburn Willard. He was a member and Deacon of New Hope Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Willard was retired from United Merchants, Buffalo Plant, and was employed with Pacolet Tire in Pacolet.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Patty and Glenn Sullivan of Buffalo; a son, Dennis Willard and Tammy Willard of Buffalo; a sister, Martha Ann Taylor and husband Guy of Cross Anchor; three grandchildren, Ashley Sinclair, Dale Willard and Derek Willard all of Buffalo. Mr. Willard was predeceased by a sister, Edna Ruth Willard.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at New Hope Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Johnny Burgess and the Rev. Jerry Lawson. Burial will be in Rosemont Cemetery with military honors.

James Harley “Jay Bird” Addison Jr., 88, husband of Evelyn Sumner Addison of 108 Spruce St., Union, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005, at 1:39 p.m. in Ellen Sagar Nursing Home.

Mr. Addison was born in Union Dec. 24, 1916, a son of the late James Harley Addison Sr. and Floy Gilbert Addison. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. Mr. Addison was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U S. Navy, and was retired from Milliken & Co., Monarch Plant.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Jo Carol and William Smith of Union; a son, James H. III and Linda Addison of Gastonia, N.C.; a brother-in-law, John Addison and wife Frances of Union; a sister-in-law, Bobbie Cathcart and husband Bob of Cary, N.C.; four grandchildren, Rick & Amy Smith, Donna and Don Cody, all of Union, the Rev. Ms. Lowder was born on June 23, 1927, a daughter of the late Melvin Lipford and Lena Carter Lipford. She was a member of Lockhart United Methodist Church and was operator of Sara’s Beauty Shop in Lockhart.

Surviving are two cousins, James Ray and Thomas Ray, both of Rock Hill and a special friend, Van Parris of Lockhart.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the New Hope Methodist Church Cemetery in Chester County conducted by the Rev. Alan Quarles.

She was born in Hendersonsville, N.C., on Oct. 14, 1949, a daughter of David J. MeGahee of the home and the late Shirley M. Webber MeGahee. Miss MeGahee was a graduate of A C. Flora High School.
Surviving in addition to her father are four aunts, Betti Elliot and Ann Sorley of Kelton, Marjorie Durant and Ruth Bowles of Columbia.

Mr. Queen was born in Clayton, Ga., on Oct. 13, 1935, a son of the late John Claude and Gladys E. Holcombe Queen. He was a graduate of Rabun County High School and was a member of the Blue Height Baptist Church of Georgia. Mr. Queen was formerly employed with Milliken & Company, Monarch Plant.

Surviving are a son, George Queen and his wife Roswitha of Lockhart; three daughters, Ellen Garner and husband Gerald of Lockhart, Beth Adams and husband Mike of Kelton and Caroline Thomason and husband Ronnie of Lockhart; three sisters, Virginia Norton of Franklin, N.C., Annette Dockins of Greenville and Barbara Roberts of Murphy, N.C.; six brothers, Allen Queen, Jim Queen and Harry Dean Queen, all of Clayton, Ga., George Queen of Charlotte, N.C., Calvin Queen of Franklin, N.C., and Keith Queen of Lockhart; a brotherin-law and sister-in-law, Buck and Laura Latham of Union; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Mr. Queen was predeceased by a brother, T.J. Queen.

Mr. Jasper Meador Wilburn, 90, of 122 Bishop Road, Union, widow of Mildred Juanita Billie Wilburn, died February 24, 2005.

Mr. Wilburn was born in Union on July 29, 1914, a son of the late C. T. S. Wilburn, Sr. and Mary Meador Wilburn. He was a graduate of Clemson University and was a retired farmer. Mr. Wilburn was a former Commissioner with the South Carolina Agricultural Commission. He was a veteran of World War II and was a member of the Lower Fairforest Baptist Church. Mr. Wilburn was first married to the late Murrell Platt Wilburn.

Surviving are three daughters, Patsy W. Payne of Belvedere, Carolyn W. Pennington of Panama City, FL, and Laura W. Paterek of Lexington; a son, Randy Wilburn of Union; three sisters, Juanita Wilburn and Ruth Windell of Rock Hill, and Belle Kinard of Simpsonville; thirteen grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Lower Fairforest Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Jim Cunningham and Rev. Fred Miller, Jr. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Moyer was born in Jonesville Jan. 27, 1922, a daughter of the late William W. and Ida James Vinson. She was a retired administrative assistant with the U.S. Geological Survey in Palo Alto, Calif. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Jonesville and a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, Spartanburg Chapter. Mrs. Moyer was a member of Bethelem United Methodist Church, a member of the United Methodist Women and the Senior Adult Sunday School Class of the church.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Jacquelyn Moyer Adams and husband John S. Adams of Union; two sisters, Lena V. Scales of Jonesville and Cleo V. Horne of Union; a brother, Grady L. Vinson of LaGrange, Ga., a special grandson, Tyler John Adams of Union. Mrs. Moyer was predeceased by a sister, Willie Ray McKinney.
