John M. Fowler, Sr.

Mr. John Michael Fowler, Sr., age 54, husband of Nancy Graham Fowler of 1414 Whitmire Hwy., Union, passed away suddenly, Saturday, July 28, 2012 at his home.

Mr. Fowler was born in Union, April 25, 1958, a son of the late James H. “Lefty” Fowler and Katherine Jones Fowler. He attended Union Co. schools and received his bachelor degree from Limestone College in Business Administration. Mr. Fowler was formerly a Union Co. businessman and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons: John Michael Fowler, Jr. and Jarrad Graham Fowler both of the home; two brothers: Gene Fowler and wife Linda of Lexington and Don Fowler and wife Rickie of Union. Mr. Fowler was predeceased by a brother, James H. “Jimbo” Fowler, Jr.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday at Rosemont Cemetery conducted by Rev. Gregg Barefoot.

Mr. Fowler will be carried to the home, 1414 Whitmire Hwy., Union, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Tuesday evening.

Ruby F. Evans
Union, S.C.

Mrs. Ruby Farr Evans, age 92, formerly of Taylors, widow of Lucius Robert Evans, of 712 Perrin Ave., Union, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2012 at her home.

Mrs. Evans was born in Adamsburg, July 15, 1920 a daughter of the late James F. and Hattie S. Farr. She was a graduate of Chester High School and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Union.

Surviving are two daughters: Debra Cook and Toni Cox both of Union; one son: Carl Evans of Greenville; special family members: Marie Grant and Paul Rainwater; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Evans was predeceased by a son: Kenneth Ray Evans, two sisters: Alpha Mae Cudd and Vyrle Poole and other sisters and brothers.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Robert Branch. Visitation will be held from 10:00 until 11:00 AM prior to the services.

Committal services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday at Graceland West Memorial Gardens in Greenville conducted by Rev. Dr. Pam Cole. The family will receive friends at the home of the son, 108 Lynchester Rd., Greenville, SC 29615 following the committal services.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 901 S. Pine St., Spartanburg, SC 29302.

The family will be at the home 712 Perrin Ave., Union.

Ruth W. Bates
Union, S.C.

Mrs. Ruth Wood Bates, age 67, of 566 Thornridge Rd., Union, widow of William Keith Bates, passed away Friday, July 27, 2012 at the home of her son in Lexington.

Mrs. Bates was born in Union, November 26, 1944, a daughter of the late Fred Marshall Wood and Nellie Rhodes Wood Free. She was retired from Milliken and Co., Excelsior Plant and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are a daughter: Sherri Bates Puckett of Union; two sons: Jeffrey Keith Bates of West Columbia and Joseph Brian Bates and wife Erin of Lexington; two brothers: John Ray Wood of Inman and Donald Wood of Union; five grandchildren: Dustin E. Puckett, Katherine Elizabeth Puckett, Devin Cody Bates, Luke William Bates and Josie Elizabeth Bates; three great-grandchildren: Alexis Marie Puckett, Emma Grace Puckett, and Jayci Claire Bates. Mrs. Bates was predeceased by a sister, Joan Wood Parker.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, July 30, 2012 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Robert Jarvis.

Memorials may be made to the Shriner’s Hospitals for Children, 950 W. Faris Rd., Greenville, SC 29605-4277.

The family will be at the home, 566 Thornridge Rd., where they will receive friends Monday after the services.

Mollie W. Puckett
Buffalo, S.C.

Mrs. Mollie Wiggins Puckett, age 67, of 10 Flat Dr., Buffalo, widow of Oliver Luther Puckett, Jr., passed away Friday, July 27, 2012 after a long illness.

Mrs. Puckett was born in Union, July 1, 1945, a daughter of the late Glenn and June Ochiltree Wiggins. She was retired from United Merchants, Buffalo Plant and was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.

Surviving are two daughters: Donna Harrison and husband Doug, and Deannah Beahrs and husband David all of Buffalo; three sons: Darrell “Buddy” Puckett and wife Lucy of Aiken, Dean Puckett and Dale Puckett both of Buffalo; a brothers: Ronald Wiggins and wife Tina of Union; and nine grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, July 29, 2012 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Johnny Burgess, Rev. Ricky Cook and Rev. Kevin Dalton.

Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Puckett’s children will serve as the active pallbearers.

The following are asked to serve as the honorary escort: Chris Wiggins, Freddie Moore, Jimmy Smith, Tracey Smith, Dennis Crisp, Kenny Puckett, Andy Sowers and James Knox.

Visitation will be held from 7:00 until 9:00 PM Saturday evening at the funeral home.

The family will be at the home of her daughter, Deannah and David Beahrs, 604 Flat Dr., Buffalo.

Pearl M. Lawson
Union, SC

Mrs. Pearl Mitchel Lawson, age 98, wife of the late Foster Lawson went to be with the Lord, Friday, July 27, 2012 at Oakmont Nursing Home.

Mrs. Lawson was born in Union County, September 8, 1913, a daughter of the late William K. Mitchel and Beulah Nance Mitchel. She was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church and previously employed with United Merchants-Buffalo Plant.

Survivors are a son: Emerson F. Lawson and wife Myrtle of Charlotte, North Carolina ; four grandchildren: Renae Lawson Lynch of Ft. Mill, Michael Lawson of Putman, Tracy Lawson Easter and husband Ted, Jr., of Boiling Springs, North Carolina., Beth Lawson Revis and husband Gene of Putman; eight great-grand children and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lawson was pre-deceased by a son: Bruce H. Lawson.

Graveside services will be held 4:00 PM Sunday, July 29, 2012 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Ted Easter, Jr..

Visitation will be at from 2:30 until 3:45 PM at Holcombe Funeral Home Sunday prior to the graveside service.

Paul Everett Hudson
Union, SC

Mr. Paul Everett Hudson, age 65 of 629 Rice Avenue Ext., Apt 2B, Union, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at his home. Mr. Hudson was the widower of Mary Vinson Hudson.

Mr. Hudson was born in Laurens County, SC May 12, 1947, a son of the late Paul Leonard Hudson and Willie Barton Hudson. He retired from W.A. Sloan Construction in Fountain Inn and was a member of Padgetts Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Hudson was a loving husband, father, grandfather and was an avid dirt track racing fan.

Surviving are three daughters: Sonya Faye Lawter and husband Jeff, Marissa Hudson and finance’ Kerry Woods all of Cross Keys and Joan Skelton of Greenville; two step-daughters: Julie Mason of Fountain Inn and Jane Justice of Buffalo; two step-sons: Thomas Anthony of Greenville and Michael Anthony of Gaffney; a sister, Elizabeth “Sis” Morgan of Woodruff; a brother, Douglas Hudson of Belton; three grandsons: Paul Nathaniel “Nate” Lawter, Justin Tyler “Jut Jut” Lawter and Chance “Sponge Bob” Lawter; seven step-grandchildren: Amy Norris, C.J. Mason, Christa Fortner, Anthony Mason, Thomas Anthony, Jr, Jessica Steele and Travis Anthony and four step-great-grandchildren. Mr. Hudson was predeceased by a sister, Martha Whitmire and two brothers, Bill Hudson and Rusty Hudson.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, July 28, 2012 at SR Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Carrol Caldwell. Burial will be in Rosemont Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be James Hudson, Steve Hudson, Jason Phillips, Jr. Hudson, Timmy Vinson and Josh Woods. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons, Paul “Nate” Lawter, Justin “Jut Jut” Lawter and Chance “Sponge Bob” Lawter.

Visitation will be held 7:00-9:00 PM Friday evening at the SR Holcombe Funeral Home.

Mrs. Laura Shrader Wade, age 69 wife of Steve Wade of 1191 Worthys Ferry Rd., Chester, SC., died Saturday, July 21, 2012 at The Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C.

Mrs. Wade was born in Union, SC., May 17, 1943, a daughter of late Julies Terry and Agnes Green Terry.

She was a member of Lockhart Freewill Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband, are a son: Wayne Shrader and wife, Nina of Chester; two brothers: Johnny Terry of Lockhart, and James “Moon Terry and wife, Shirley of Gaffney; four grandchildren: Justin and Cameron Shrader both of Shelby, NC and Tyler and Randi Shrader both of Chester. Mrs. Wade was pre-deceased by her first husband: Earl Shrader, a son: Randy Shrader, a brother: Jerry “Buttercup” Terry and four sisters: Bobbi Black, Francis House, Marlene Spencer and Margaret Inman.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Lockhart Freewill Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Brian Bishop and Rev. Randall Runion. Burial will follow at Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church.

Active pallbearers will be Danny Sneed, Justin Shrader, Cameron Shrader, Todd Terry, Dave Terry and Roger Terry. Honorary Pallbearers will be Johnny Shrader, Larry Inman and Alan Black.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday night at Lockhart Freewill Baptist Church.

Mr. Roger Eugene Shetley, age 51, of 208 Barnado Road, Union, SC passed away Friday, July 20, 2012 at his home.

Mr. Shetley was born in Union, SC., February 22, 1961, a son of Shirley Campbell Fowler and the late Cecil Eugene Shetley. He was a 1979 graduate of Union High School and attended Lakeside Baptist Church. Mr. Shetley was an employee of Vic Bailey Ford in Spartanburg.

Surviving in addition to his mother is a daughter: Candice Marie Shetley of Union; a brother: Cecil O’Neil Shetley and wife Cheryl of Union; his stepfather: Finley D. Fowler of Chesnee; a stepsister: Dana F. Bibler of Spartanburg; two stepbrothers: Scott Fowler of Travelers Rest and Ricky Fowler of Greer; two nieces: Tyger S. Yount and husband Steven of Union and Brandy S. Letson and husband Mark of Simpsonville and one great niece: Ella Delaney Yount all of Union. Mr. Shetley was pre-deceased by his father: Cecil Eugene Shetley; grandmothers: Viola S. Shetley and Marie McSwain; and a great niece: Madden Campbell Letson.

Funeral Service will be held 5:00 PM Sunday July 22, 2012 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. Robert S. Cobb and Rev. Lynn Ford. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens.

Sidney Walton Gault, Sr.
Irmo, SC

Mr. Sidney Walton Gault, Sr., age 73 of 107 Hever Court, Irmo, SC, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at his home.

Mr. Gault was born in Union, SC June 22, 1939, a son of the late Fred Gault and Virginia Montgomery Gault. He was a graduate of Union High School and had attended USC Union. Mr. Gault was formerly employed with United Merchants - Union Plant and retired from Hefner Tire Company in Columbia. Mr. Gault was an avid Gamecock fan and animal lover. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and was formerly married to Hazel Moore Gault.

Surviving are two daughters: Elizabeth Jane Gault of Columbia and Leslie Gault Mendelsohn and husband Paul of Lexington; a son, Sidney W. Gault, Jr of Columbia; two brothers: Fred J. “Scooter” Gault, Jr and wife Gayle of Anderson and John G. Gault and wife Dolly of Mt. Pleasant and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, July 22, 2012 at the SR Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Chaplain Willie Crum.

Visitation will be held in the chapel immediately following the service.

Mr Garrette Lee Hitchcox, age 84 of 3522 Jonesville Lockhart Hwy., Union, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mr. Hitchcox was the widower of Ina Ruth Smith Hitchcox.

Mr. Hitchcox was born in Bledsoe, TN March 12, 1928, a son of the late Willis Hitchcox and Ola Mae Hatfield Hitchcox. He was a graduate of Bledsoe High School and retired from TRW Ross Gear. Mr. Hitchcox was a member of Philippi Baptist Church where he was a member of the Joy Club.

Surviving are a son, Jason Lee Hitchcox and wife Stephanie of the home; a sister, Janice Baskett and husband Wayne; a brother, Olen Hitchcox and wife JoAnn all of TN and a granddaughter, Ashley Hitchcox of Newberry.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Philippi Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Brad Goodale and Rev. Robert Scott.

Visitation will be held in the church immediately following the service.

Mrs. Melissa Green Nipper, age 42 wife of Robert D. Nipper of 580 Zion Church Road, Pacolet, SC passed away Friday, July 13, 2012.

Mrs. Nipper was born in Mercer County, West Virginia on October 21, 1969 a daughter of Billy and Shirley DeHart Green of West Virginia. She was a graduate of Oakville High School, a member of Pacolet Mills Church of God and formerly employed as a home health nurse.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons: Jessy Farmer and fianceé Karrinda Deleija and Christopher Nipper; one daughter: Veronica Nipper and a grandson: Demetri Sage Farmer all of Pacolet. She was predeceased by a daughter Lila Renee Farmer.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, July 20, 2012 at the Pacolet Mills Church of God conducted by Pastor John Brooke. Visitation will be held at the church immediately following the memorial service.

Mr. Charles Keith Kendrick, age 59, of Union, passed away Thursday July 12, 2012 at the Dorn VA Medical Center in Columbia after a sudden illness.

Mr. Kendrick was born in Lockhart, August 29, 1952, a son of the late Charles and Shirley Ann Clayton Kendrick. He was veteran of the US Marine Corp.

Surviving are two brothers: Andy Kendrick and wife Angie of Charlotte, NC, and Larry Kendrick of Jacksonville, FL; three step-brothers: Arthur Fuller and wife Teresa of Chester, Lanny Fuller of Myrtle Beach, and John Fuller and wife Judy of Jonesville: nieces: Ashley Kendrick, Liana Kendrick, Katie Kendrick and Dakota Fuller; nephews: Jason Kendrick, Rusty Fuller, and Zack Fuller.

Graveside services with military honors will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Merritt Wentz. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.

Cindy Ann Daughtery Maness, age 48, of 75 West Ridge Dr., Inman, passed away July 10, 2012 at the Regional Hospice Home of Spartanburg after a sudden illness.

Ms. Maness was born in Union, January 15, 1966, a daughter of Linda Baldwin White of Inman and the late Mack Ray Daughtery. She was employed with Clary Hood Construction, Inc. and was a member of Fairforest Baptist Church of Union .

Surviving in addition to her mother are a daughter: Misty Maness of Virginia; a son: William Maness of Duncan; a sister: Donna Wilson Malone of Inman; and four grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, July 15, 2012 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. William Biggs. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the chapel.

Mrs. Margaret Williams Newton, age 87, widow of William P. “Bill” Newton, of 215 Glendale Rd., passed away Sunday, July 8, 2012 at Oakmont of Union.

Mrs. Newton was born in Union, April 25, 1925, a daughter of the late Haynes Smith Williams and Margaret Waters Williams. She was a graduate of Union High School and Furman University. Mrs. Newton was a retired Special Ed. teacher with the Union Co. School System and was a member of First Baptist Church. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving are a daughter: Margaret Anne Newton of Union, and a daughter-in-law: June Newton of Charlotte. Mrs. Newton was predeceased by a son, William Smith “Billy” Newton.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Rick Pendleton. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the chapel prior from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the services.

Mr. Paul Lonnie Malpass of 108 Moore Street, Union, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2012 at Regional Hospice Home, Spartanburg.

Mr. Malpass was born in Union, SC February 26, 1923, a son of the late Lonnie Malpass and Ora Campbell Malpass. He was a Veteran of the US Army having served in World War II.

Surviving are a daughter, Paulette Cathcart of Spartanburg; a granddaughter, Kitiz Cathcart Dyer of Forest City, NC; a grandson, Thomas Cathcart, Jr. of Spindale, NC; four great-grandchildren: Triston Wrenn, Paul Wrenn, Lindsey Cathcart and Brittney Cathcart. Mr. Malpass was predeceased by a sister, Louise Brown Smith and a brother, Charles Malpass.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at the SR Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev William Cathcart. Burial will be in Putman Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors.

Visitation will be held 2:00-3:00 PM Tuesday in the chapel prior to the service.

Elizabeth “Libby” Gardin
Jonesville, SC

Mrs. Elizabeth Ann “Libby” McGlothan Gardin, wife of George Gardin, Sr. of 443 Tinsley Rd., Jonesville, SC passed away Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Regional Hospice Home, Spartanburg.

Mrs. Gardin was born in Union County, SC May 18, 1950, daughter of the late Arthur “Jack” McGlothan and Ethel Elizabeth Southerland McGlothan. She retired from Jonesville Elementary School and was a member of Jonesville Baptist Church. Mrs. Gardin was a loving daughter, wife, mother and nanny.

Surviving in addition to her husband George of forty-four years are a daughter, Georiga Foster and husband Jeff of Levenworth, KS; two sons: James Gardin and wife Nicole and George Gardin, Jr and wife Staci all of Jonesville; five grandchildren: James “Trey” Gardin, III, Jacob Foster, Madison Gardin, Stetson Gardin and Joshua Foster; five foster grandchildren; four sisters and a special friend, Joan Guyton. Mrs Gardin was predeceased by a sister.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, July 9, 2012 at Holcombe’s Jonesville Chapel conducted by Rev. Ralph Brown and Rev. Roger Byrd. Burial will be in Jonesville Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Michael Bolinger, Sam Phillips, Robbie Phillips, Bryan Gardin, Jared Gardin and Lewis Moss.

Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM Sunday evening at the Holcombe’s Jonesville Chapel.

Mr. William David Jenkins, age 76, of Union, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Regency Hospital of Greenville after a brief illness.

Mr. Jenkins was born in Raleigh, NC, May 2, 1936, a son of the late George Lawson Jenkins and Lillie Mae Hames Jenkins. He was retired from Delta Farms as a dairy farmer and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Jenkins was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Surviving are three sons: Ricky Jenkins and wife Cheryl of Buffalo, Timothy Jenkins and Thomas David Jenkins both of Union; four grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Mr. Jenkins was predeceased by a son, William Charles Jenkins.

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 AM Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Lee Franklin.

Visitation will be held prior to the services Saturday from 10:00 until 11:30 AM at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.

Mrs. Paula Alexander Moss, age 50, husband of David E. Moss of 8185 Lockhart Hwy., Sharon, SC passed away at her home Tuesday, July 3, 2012.

Mrs. Moss was born in Lockhart, SC October 16, 1961, a daughter of Fredrick Jerry Alexander, Sr. and Geneva Humphris Alexander of Sharon. She was a graduate of Lockhart High School and was formerly employed with West Marine in Rock Hill. Mrs. Moss was a member of Bullock Creek Presbyterian Church. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother who was very devoted to her family.

Surviving in addition to her husband and parents are a daughter, Lycrecia Ann Jacobs; a son, Jody Robert Wood ; a sister, Dolly Maurice;a brother, Fredrick Jerry Alexander, Jr all of Sharon and a granddaughter, Summer Elizabeth Adams.

Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Friday, July 6, 2012 at Bullock Creek Presbyterian Church conducted by Rev. Craig Marshall, Rev. Wako Cotney and Rev. Brad Goodall. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held 2:00-400 PM Friday in the church prior to the service.

Memorials may be made to Bullock Creek Presbyterian Church, 7386 Lockhart Hwy, Sharon, SC 29742.

Steven Wendell Garner
Union, SC

Mr. Steven Wendell Garner, age 59 husband of Gayle G. Garner of Lockhart, passed away suddenly, Monday, July 2, 2012 at Wallace Thomson Hospital.

Mr. Garner was born in Union, March 3, 1953 a son of the late Cleon and Ludy Bishop Garner. He was a graduate of Union High School class of 1973, where he was equipment manager for the football team. Mr. Garner was a volunteer at Wallace Thomson Hospital where he had received numerous awards for his service. He was a member of Lockhart Baptist Church and attended the Union Church of God.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons: Rodney Gibson and Dean Gibson of Lockhart, and Duane Gibson and wife Amanda of Union; two sisters: Holly Davis of Union and Tonya Adams and husband Eddie of Union; one grandson: Malachi Gibson; two nieces: Crissy McGowan and Jade Lawson Fountain; a special great-niece: Hailey Wells; and a special great-nephew: Bishop Spencer.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at the Union Church of God conducted by the Rev. Tommy Brown. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Donnie Adams, Joey Conard, Donnie McAbee, Marion McAbee, J.T. Vinson, and Ronald Garner.

Staff and nurses of Gentiva Home Health are asked to sit in a group.

Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 until 11:00AM prior to the funeral services.

Memorials maybe made to the Steven Wendell Garner Fund, P.O. Box 293 Union, SC 29379.

The family will be at the home of his son Dean Gibson, 134 Catawba Hill Drive, Union, SC 29379.

John Thomas McCorkle
Union, S.C.

Mr. John Thomas McCorkle, age 51, husband of Sheila Gibson McCorkle of 105 Vaughan Rd., Union passed away Saturday June 30, 2012 at his home.

Mr. McCorkle was born in Chester, December 17, 1960 a son of Reginal Ralph McCorkle and his wife Mary of Chester and Brenda Miller McCorkle also of Chester.

He was a graduate of Chester High School and attended York Technical College.

Mr. McCorkle was employed as a district field representative with Chester Metropolitan Water District from 1979 till he retired in 2005 and was owner and operator of H2O Distribution, LLC. He had worked as a private contractor with the Water District for the past seven years. A certified class A water operator, Mr. McCorkle was also licenced as an instructor in water distribution courses. He was certified at flow meter testing and back flow prevention devices. He served as former Board member of the Rocky Creek Water Co. and also was certified as a Hazwoper Class A inspector.

Mr. McCorkle was an avid gardner and loved riding his Harley Davidson Duece with his wife for different charities. He was a former member of the Iron Butts Motorcycle Association.

Surviving in addition to his wife, father, stepmother and mother are two stepdaughter: Chasity M Wilson and husband Charlie of Blacksburg and Roseanne Sullens and fiancee Ronnie D. Head of Chesnee; a sister Bonnie Goings and husband Walt of Chester; a brother: Robert McCorkle and wife Nancy of Chester; grandchildren: Kailee Rector, Graison Wilson, Taylor Wilson, Daniel Wilson, Cody Wilson and Joshua Head; a special nephew: Ryan McCorkle; special friend and motorcycle buddy: Steve Jessop and family of Chester; special beloved pets, Mufasa, Garfield and especially Sabrina, the Yorkie.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, July 5, 2012 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Donna Eidson.

Visitation will be held prior to the services from 1:30 until 3:00 PM in the chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to the Spartanburg County Humane Society, 150 Dexter Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29303.

The family will be at the home 105 Vaughan Rd., Union.
