Mrs. Carol Jean Trammell Martin, age 56, wife of David Albert Martin, Sr of 261 Suber Lane, Union, SC passed away Sunday, September 30, 2012 at her home.

Mrs. Martin was born in Richland County, SC September 25, 1956, a daughter of the late Marvin Trammell and Gladys Shaw Trammell. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters: Molly Anderson and Tammie Rendwick; three sisters: Donna Lugo, Marsha Patrick and Shirley Trammell; two brothers: Grady Trammell, Sr and James Trammell, Sr; six grandchildren: Steven Howell, Jr, Joshua Inman, Brian Gilkerson, David Gilkerson, Jessica Rendwick and Lacey Anderson and three great-grandchildren all of Union. Mrs. Martin was predeceased by a son, David Martin, Jr; a sister, Diane Pratt and a brother Steve Trammell.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Jim Wiseman.

Mrs. Martin will be taken to the home, 261 Suber Lane, Union, Monday, October 1, 2012 where the family will receive friends.

Mary Lois Adams
Formerly of Jonesville

Mrs. Mary Lois Holcomb Adams, age 95, widow of Joseph T. Adams, formerly of 841 Littlejohn Rd., Jonesville, passed away Friday, September 28, 2012 at Oakmont of Union.

Mrs. Adams was born in Union, SC June 14, 1917, a daughter of the late Shelton Harrison and Doshie Holcomb Harrison. She was retired from Milliken & Co - Pacolet Mills and was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church in Pacolet. Mrs. Adams was everyone’s grandmother and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Surviving are a daughter, Barbara Robinson and husband John M of Jonesville; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Adams was predeceased by a daughter and a son-in-law, Mary Elizabeth “Lib” Sanders and Charles Ray Sanders; a sister, Louise Gregory and two brothers: Jack Holcomb and Milton Holcomb.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Holcombe’s Jonesville Chapel conducted by Rev. Jackie Carrigan. Burial will be in the Porter-Gallman Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Michael Robinson, Gary Morgan, Scott Sanders, Chuck Sanders, Will Youngblood and Hunter Youngblood.

Visitation will be held 2:00-3:00 PM Sunday in the chapel prior to the service.

Henry H. Belue
Union, SC

Mr. Henry H. Belue, age 87 of 215 Third Street, Ottaray Community, Union, widower of Elizabeth “Lib” Blakley Belue, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Regional Hospice House.

Mr. Belue was born in Greenville, SC October 21, 1924, a son of the late R.O. Belue and Annie Barrow Belue. He was a graduate of Union High School, Clemson College and had attended Pittsburg University. Mr. Belue retired from AT&T after fifty years of service and was employed with Union Phone Mart. He was a Veteran of the US Army Air Corp having served in World War II. A Flying Tiger, he served as a tail-gunner on B-25's flying missions over North Africa, Burma, India, Japan, China and Indo China. During the Korean Conflict, Mr. Belue was stationed in Shreveport, LA. He as a Mason, a lifetime member of the Union Elks Club and was a member of Fairforest Baptist Church.

Surviving are a son, Ronnie Belue of the home; a brother, Harvey Belue and wife of Union; nieces; nephews and special friends, Roger Wade and the Union Phone Mart family all of Union Mr. Belue was predeceased by a brother, Richard Belue.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Fairforest Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Scott Cobb with Military Honors.

Visitation will be held at the graveside immediately following the service.

Clarence T. Vanderford
Lockhart, S.C.

Mr. Clarence T. Vanderford, age 87, widower of Agnes Latham Vanderford of 109 South 2nd St., Lockhart, passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at Ellen Sagar Nursing Home.

Mr. Vanderford was born in Lockhart, April 26, 1925, a son of the late Pete and Jennie Candler Vanderford. He was retired from Conso Products and the Union Recycling Center. Mr. Vanderford was a member of the Lockhart First Baptist Church and was a veteran of the US Army having served in World War II.

Surviving are a daughter: Judy Bailey and husband Maxie of Newberry; a son: Mike Vanderford and friend Cindy of Lockhart; a sister: Sally Palmer; a brother: Mack Vanderford both of Union; two granddaughters: Melissa Doolittle and husband Travis and April Peel and husband Russell all of Newberry; five great-grandchildren: Bailey, Grantt, and Colby Doolittle and Reagan and Riley Peel. Mr. Vanderford was predeceased by two sisters: Vernell Vanderford and Kathleen Revels.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, September 28, 2012 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Brad Goodale.

Active pallbearers will be Tracey Rash, Ronnie Latham, Johnny Belue, Mike Allen, Travis Doolittle, Russell Peel, Grantt Doolittle and Colby Doolittle.

The following are asked to assemble at the cemetery at 1:45 PM Friday to form the honorary escort: Terry Bentley, Larry Inman, Sam Clayton, Lewis Clark, Hugh Gregory, Ronnie Thomason, Donald O’Dell, Keith Parks, David Jenkins, Jim Parks, staff and nurses of Harmony Care Hospice and the staff and nurses of Ellen Sagar Nursing Home.

Paul Andrew Keisler

Mr. Paul Andrew Keisler, age 72, husband of Patsy Faucett Keisler of 373 Haney Cemetery Rd., Union, SC passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at his home.

Mr. Keisler was born in Union, SC January 10, 1940, a son of the late Lawrence Keisler and Corrie Mitchell Keisler. He retired from Cone Mill - Carlisle Finishing. Mr. Keisler was a member of Mt. Joy Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and was a former member of the South Carolina National Guard. He was a member of the Mt. Joy Masonic Lodge #203 and had served as Past District Deputy Grand Master of the Twelveth Masonic District of South Carolina. Mr. Keisler was also a member of the Scottish Rite and York Rite Bodies.

Surviving in addition to his wife Patsy are a daughter, Katherine Stout and husband Todd of Littleton, NC; a son, Bruce Paul Keisler and wife Toni; two brothers: Bobby Keisler and William Keisler all of Union: six grandchildren: Jennifer Renea Keisler and fiancé E.J. Huntington, Bruce Paul Keisler, Jr and fiancé Anna Stastny, Jonathan Stout and wife Sarah, Ryanne Stout, Garriell Boyd and Anthony Lambert; three great-grands: Andrew Cody Gallman, Eva Marie Huntington and Ava Grace Boyd. Mr. Keisler was predeceased by a sister, Annie Mae Ruest and three brothers: Fred Keisler, Leroy Keisler and John Whitt Keisler.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Mt. Joy Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Alan West. Burial will be in the Haney Cemetery with Masonic Rites.

Beverly Diane Owens
Jonesville, S.C.

Ms. Beverly Diane Owens, age 64 of 232 T. Bishop Rd., Jonesville, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Ms. Owens was born in Union, June 1, 1948 a daughter of the late Edward E. and Geraldine Gault Owens. She was formerly employed with Dollar General.

Surviving are two brothers: Steven W. Owens and wife Faye of Buffalo and Bobby G. Owens and wife Kathy of Enoree; four nieces: Penny Guiles, Leslie Owens, Ashlie Owens, and Laura Owens; one nephew: Edward R. Owens; two aunts: Kathleen Bogan of Jonesville and Betty Jo Eldridge of Gaffney. Ms. Owens was predeceased by her companion, John Honachevski; and a brother: James “Lobo” Owens.

A graveside memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Friday, September 28, 2012 at New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Ricky Cook.
Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Diane Justice Jennings
Union, S.C.

Mrs. Diane Justice Jennings, age 62, of 212 Bobo St., Union, passed away September 23, 2012 at the Medical University of S.C., Charleston after a sudden illness.

Mrs. Jennings was born in Union, January 24, 1950, a daughter of the late Dora Justice Boyles and Fulton Boyles. She was a member of the Monarch Assembly Church of God.

Surviving are a daughter: Angie N. Wilson; three sons: James Boyd Newton, Kenneth Newton and wife Judy and Joseph Lester Cochran, III; three sisters: Jessie McClure, Bernice McFalls and Alma Justice all of Union; 9 grandchildren: Kendall Newton, Savannah Rhinehart, James Brandon Newton, Meagen Newton, Kayla Newton, Cameron Newton, Nina Newton, Logan Newton and Sarah Elizabeth Cochran; and 5 great-grandchildren: Caden Lee Newton, Jaxon Cade Newton, Malachi Gory, Nana Gory and Oriana Rhinehart.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at the Monarch Assembly Church of God conducted by Rev. Jerry Hargrove. Burial will be in Rosemont Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the church prior to the services.

Ms. Dorothy Ann Horton, age 70, of 8741 Lockhart Hwy., Sharon, passed away Friday, September 21, 2012 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center after a long battle with cancer.

Ms. Horton was born in York Co., August 16, 1942, a daughter of the late Bonner and Eva Inman Horton. She was a graduate of Hickory Grove High School, Limestone College and received her Master’s degree from Converse College. Ms. Horton was retired from Milliken Co., Pacolet Manufacturing and was a member of Bullock Creek Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are two daughters: Penne Ellis of Lockhart and Anita Groves of Warren Robin, GA; a special friend: Bobby Pendergrass of Sharon; three sisters: Mary Elizabeth Price of Waco, TX, Carolyn Bradley of Chester and Eleanor Michaels of Bowling Green; two brothers: William Donald Horton of Sharon and Walter Lee Horton of Rock Hill; three grandchildren: Jamie Farr, Jenna Peagler, and Jonah Parkins; and two great-grandchildren: Gracie Farr and Riley Swann. Ms. Horton was predeceased by two sisters: Linda H. Belue and Trula H. Ham; three brothers: E.B. Horton, Jr., Francis “Pop-eye” Horton and James “Tucker” Horton.

Funeral services will be held 12:30 PM Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Bullock Creek Presbyterian Church conducted by Rev. Craig Marshall. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Carl Pendergrass, Jamie Ivey, Jesse Parkins, Josh Horton, Tim Gilchrist and John Gilchrist.

Visitation will be held from 11:30 until 12:30 PM prior to the services at the church.

Mrs. Vivian Addis “Sis” Haney, age 83, wife of Hoyt Haney of 1128 Jonesville-Lockhart Hwy., Union, passed away, Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at her home.

Mrs. Haney was born in Jonesville, October 1, 1928, a daughter of the late J.D. Addis Sr. and Lois Hawkins Addis. She was a graduate of Jonesville High School and was retired from Milliken Co., Monarch Plant. Mrs. Haney was a member of Foster’s Chapel United Methodist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a sister: Ada A. Gregg of Jonesville; and several loving nieces and nephews including: Leslie Putze, Billy Gibbs, Pam Ivey, Jeff Addis, Donald Addis, Steven Addis, Tony Addis, Cooter Knox, Sput Knox, David Knox, Frances Burton and David Rogers. Mrs. Haney was predeceased by two brothers: J.D. Addis, Jr. and Warren Addis.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, September 21, 2012 at Foster’s Chapel United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Glenn Ribelin. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. James Hay Fant “ Hady” Inman, age 87, husband of Beuna Chambers Inman of 131 215 Loop, Union, SC passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at his home.

Mr. Inman was born in Union, SC August 1, 1925, a son of the late George and Mamie Vaughan Inman. He was a graduate of Union High School and retired from United Merchants - Buffalo Plant. Mr. Inman was a member of Fairview Baptist Church where he was a member of the Adult Men’s Sunday School Class. He was a veteran of the US Army and the US Air Force having served in World War II. Mr. Inman was also a former member of the South Carolina National Guard.

Surviving in addition to his wife of sixty-four years are a son, Torance J. Inman and wife Bernice; a daughter-in-law, Marilyn C. Inman; a sister, Mary Ellen I. Chambers all of Union; three granddaughters: Angela Inman, Lisa Inman Mullins and Amanda Inman Gallman and seven great-grandchildren: Christen England, Savannah England, Caroline England, Michael Foster, Hailey Mullins, Brayden Mullins and Norah Gallman. Mr. Inman was predeceased by a son, James Hay Fant Inman, Jr.; a granddaughter, Regina Inman England; two sisters and six brothers.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, September 21, 2012 at SR Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. David Lewis, Rev. Robert Branch and Mr. Torance Inman. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens with Military Honors.

Ms. Norma Dean Crocker Sanders, age 74 of 606 Toney Rd., Union, SC passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at her home.

Ms. Sanders was born July 31, 1938, a daughter of the late Clarence Crocker and Lois O’Shields Crocker. She retired from Conso Products and was a member of Crestview Baptist Church, formerly Westside Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Lori S. Rice; two sons: Timothy E. “Timmy Dean” Sanders and wife Rita all of Union and Neal L. “Monty” Sanders of the home; two brothers: Donald Crocker and wife Augustine of Greenwood and Terry Neal Crocker of Union; five grandchildren: Lacie R. Yarbrough and husband Justin, Cassie Sanders, Nikki Sanders, Kirsten Sanders and Autumn Sanders and nine great-grandchildren. Ms Sanders was predeceased by a son-in-law, Billy Rice.

Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Thursday, September 20, 2012 at the SR Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Dennis Spencer. Burial will be in Rosemont Cemetery.

Mrs. Brenda Hutcherson Caldwell, age 69, wife of Carroll Caldwell of 228 Burgess Rd., Jonesville, died September 15, 2012 at her home.

Mrs. Caldwell was born March 17, 1943 in Union, SC., a daughter of the late Harry Hutcherson and Nancy Johns Hutcherson. She was a graduate of Union High School and a member of Fairforest Baptist Church. Mrs. Caldwell was a member of The Young at Heart Club and a member of the Red Hat Society.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons: James “Bucky” Caldwell and wife Wina of Myrtle Beach and Russell “Rusty” Caldwell of Smyrna; two brothers: Dennis Hutcherson of Jonesville and Steve Hutcherson and wife Cindy of Buffalo; two sisters: Margaret Willard of Union and Harriet Eaves and husband David of Jonesville; one grandson: Tyler Caldwell of Myrtle Beach; three granddaughters: Jessica Dunn and husband Cedric, Clarisa Caldwell all of Union and Kaytlin Caldwell of the home; two great-grandchildren: Kameron Dunn and Camiyah Smith both of Union; a special aunt: Donna Jenkins of Spartanburg; and special friends: Wanda and Rick Drain.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, September 17, 2012 at Fairforest Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Alan Gregory and Mr. Mark Foster. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Camillus B. “Cam” Jeter III, age 44, husband of Teresa Burgess Jeter of 564 Jeter Cemetery Road, Union, died Friday, September 14, 2012 at his home.

Mr. Jeter was born in Union on May 2, 1968, a son of Brenda Brooks Jeter and the late Camillus B. “C.B.” Jeter, Jr. A graduate of Union Academy and attended the University of South Carolina. Mr. Jeter was retired from the Jeter Agency where he specialized in insurance. He was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving in addition to his wife and mother, are a son: Jeremiah Edward Burgess “Jeb” Jeter of the home.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, September 17, 2012 at the Jeter Family Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Robert Chapman.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.

Mr. Leland Vance Golden, age 59 of 144 Williams Rd., Union, SC passed away suddenly Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at his home.

Mr. Golden was born in Richmond County, GA July 18, 1953, a son of the late Marion Hanley Golden and Charlotte Elizabeth McElmurray. He was a graduate of Jackson High School and Aiken Technical College. He was employed with Kodak Eastman.

Mr. Golden is survived by his wife, Susan Horne of the home; former wife and mother of children, Connie Davis of Blythe, GA; two daughters: Suzanne Nicole Raley of N. Augusta and Leigh Anne Golden of Augusta, GA; two sons: Mitchel Golden of the home and Leland Vance Golden, II of Augusta, GA; a sister, Sandra Rich of Augusta, GA; six brothers: Marion “Buck” Golden of Mooresville, NC, Parker Golden, Kenneth Golden, James Golden, Joe Golden all of Beech Island, SC and John Shaw Golden of Augusta, GA and five grandchildren. Mr Golden was predeceased by a sister, Charlotte Elizabeth Golden and a brother, Christopher Bruce Golden.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Beulah Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Mark Truitt.

Mr. Kerry Lynn Adams, age 61, husband of Carol B. Adams of 202 Jefferson Street, Pickens, SC passed away Monday, September 10, 2012 at his home.

Mr. Adams was born in Union, SC September 26, 1950, a son of Vivian Robinson Adams of Union and the late Claude Adams. He was a 1968 graduate of Union High School and had attended the University of S.C.. Mr. Adams was a partner with Gold Star International Land Development, working in property development and had also held positions in the real estate sales and the insurance industry. Mr. Adams attended Pickens First Baptist Church; he loved his family, treasured his friends and never met a stranger.

Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and a special friend and business partner, Michael Lewis of Nicaragua.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Philippi Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Brad Goodale. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Glenn Dwayne Dill, age 86, formerly of Gin Circle., Buffalo, passed away Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Ellen Sagar Nursing Home.

Mr. Dill was born in Lincolnton, NC, July 23, 1926, a son of the late Roscoe and Fannie Mitchell Dill. He was owner and operator of Dwayne’s Beauty Shop for many years and was the first male hairstylist to serve the female population of Union Co. Mr. Dill was a veteran of the US Army having served during WWII in Germany and the Isle of Leyte. He was a former member of the Redmen’s Tribe of Buffalo and was a member of Buffalo United Methodist Church.

Surviving are a brother: Howard F. Dill of Conover, NC; a sister in law: Hazel Dill; a great-nephew: Billy Land both of Lincolnton, NC; and several other nieces and nephews. Mr. Dill was predeceased by a brother Charles Dill.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Buffalo United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Kevin Dalton. Entombment will be held at Union Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Military Honors.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 until 1:00 PM Wednesday at the church prior to the services.

The family will be at their respective homes.

Mrs. June Cathcart Lancaster, age 58, widow of Dennis Wayne Lancaster of 1851 Mudbridge Rd., Jonesville, SC, passed away Saturday, September 8, 2012 at the Regional Hospice Home in Spartanburg, after a brief illness.

Mrs. Lancaster was born in Union, June 1, 1954, a daughter of Jean “Nanny-Bug” Billings Cathcart of Pauline and the late Edward Cathcart. She was retired from Disney Distribution Center and had previously worked at Conso Products. Mrs. Lancaster was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her mother are a daughter: Anna Lancaster; a son: David Lancaster and wife Jennifer all of Union; three sisters: Patti Rice and husband Stanley of Union, Susan Morris and husband Ken of Inman and Kathy Farr and husband Tommy of Pauline; two grandchildren: Michael and Abby Lancaster.

Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Melvin Shelton.

Visitation will be held after the graveside services in the church fellowship hall.

Mr. William Hicks “Bill” Robertson, age 65, husband of Diane West Robertson, of 206 Gibert St., Union, passed away, Thursday, September 6, 2012 at his home after a sudden illness.

Mr. Robertson was born in Charlotte, NC, November 3, 1946, a son of the late William E. and Gladys Hicks Robertson. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Textile Engineering from North Carolina State University where he also was a member of the Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity. Mr. Robertson retired from Milliken Co., Monarch Plant and was a veteran of the US Air Force having served in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the BPO Elks Lodge of Union and Grace United Methodist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter: Kathy Robertson Norton and husband David of Rock Hill; a son: William Kevin Robertson and wife Kimberley of Los Angeles, CA; two step-daughters: Amy Weber of Union and Candace Weber Sturcken, and husband Paul of Greenville; nine grandchildren: Kent Groves, Connor Medford, Brooks Sturcken, Trace Sturcken, Cali Norton, Croft Norton, Ivey Grace Medford, Cole Haney and Bailey Robertson; and one great-grandchild, Zachary Groves.

Graveside services with Military Honors will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Rosemont Cemetery conducted by Rev. Brad Goodale.

The family will receive friends at the home, 206 Gibert St., Union, immediately following the graveside services.

Mr. Carroll Edward Helton, age 76, husband of Shelby Jean Ellison Helton of 170 Granite Street, Pacolet Mills, SC passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at his home.

Mr. Helton was born in Cherokee County, SC August 4, 1936, a son of Eugene Helton and Lena Cash Helton. He was a self-employed electrician and was a Veteran of the US Navy.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Debra A. Helton of Pacolet Mills; a son, Michael W. Helton and wife Nellie of North Carolina; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Annie Ruth Campbell White, age 74, wife of Walter White of 224 Oakland Rd., Union, passed away Sunday September 2, 2012 at her home.

Mrs. White was born in Chester, SC July 14, 1938, a daughter of the late W.J. Campbell and Marie Millwood McSwain. She retired from General Motors after twenty-two years of service.

Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons: Kenneth White of Union, Billy Ray White of Jasper, GA and Donnie Ray White of Jonesville; a sister, Shirley C. Fowler of Chesnee; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Valerie Inman Phillips

Mrs. Valerie Inman Phillips, age 88, formerly of Riley Road, Buffalo, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Ellen Sagar Nursing Home.

Mrs. Phillips was born in Buffalo on April 20, 1924, a daughter of the late Billy Hobart and Pearl Wright Inman. She was retired from United Merchants Union Plant and a member of Buffalo United Methodist Church.

Surviving are two brothers, Roger Inman and wife Ann of Statesboro, GA, Bill Inman and wife Nell of Spartanburg; one brother-in-law I.G. Vanderford and wife Beth of Buffalo; one niece Sonya Floyd of Boiling Springs, SC; five nephews, Ray Inman of Hull, GA, Freddie Vanderford of Buffalo, Billy Inman of Landrum, Lee Inman of Spartanburg, and Roger Inman Jr. of Statesboro, GA; and several great nieces and nephews. Mrs. Phillips was predeceased by one brother, Jennings Inman; and two sisters, Geneva Inman and Virginia Vanderford.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Rosemont Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Kevin Dalton.

Mr. Jimmy Lee Faulks, age 66, widower of Dorothy Messer Faulks formerly of 207 Arthur Street, Union, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2012 at J.F. Hawkins Nursing Home, Newberry, SC. Mr. Faulks was first married to the late Mary Lanier Knox Faulks.

Mr. Faulks was born in Spartanburg, SC November 5, 1945, a son of the late Walter Dewey Faulks and Mary Ellen Bell Faulks. He was formerly employed with Milliken & Co-Monarch Plant and was a member of Putman Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sisters: Juanita Johnson and Sara Green; a brother Walter Dewey Faulks, Jr all of Union and a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Faulks was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth Faulks and a brother, James Allen Faulks.

Graveside services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. John Lee.

Visitation will be held 2:00-2:45 PM Wednesday prior to the service at SR Holcombe Funeral Home.

Mrs. Beverly Darlene Stines Garner, age 53, wife of Ronald A. “Ronnie” Garner of 443 Gist Bridge Rd., Buffalo, SC passed away Saturday, September 1, 2012 at her home after an extended illness, surrounded by her family and friends.

Mrs. Garner was born in Union, SC August 25, 1959, a daughter of Phyllis Crocker Stines and the late Beverly Stines, Jr. She was employed for fifteen years with Wallace Thomson Hospital as a Monitor Technician and a Unit Secretary. Mrs. Garner was a member of Mon Aetna Baptist Church where she served as a Nursery Worker, a Greeter, served on the Fellowship Committee and was a member of the Dennis Russell Sunday School Class.

Surviving in addition to her mother and husband are a daughter, Stacy Garner and Fiancé Thom McAbee of Union; a son, Michael Garner and wife Suzy of Jonesville; two brothers: Jimmy Stines and Heather of Buffalo and Jody Stines and wife Tamria of Easley; grandchildren, Hayden Garner of Jonesville and soon to be born, Houston Garner; a father-in-law Aubrey Garner of Union and a beloved pet, Zoe. Mrs. Garner was predeceased by her mother-in-law, Ophelia Garner.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at Mon Aetna Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Greg Barefoot and Rev. Benny Green. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens.

Mr. James Ray “Jamie” Sanders, age 39, of 115 Malone Avenue, Union, SC passed away Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Sanders was born in Union, SC July 7, 1973, a son of James “Jimmy” Sanders and Marilyn Riggs Sanders of the home. He was a graduate of Union High School where he was a member of the 1990 Union High School State Championship Football Team, coached by Coach Shell Dulla.

Surviving in addition to his parents are two brothers: Joseph “Joey” Sanders of the home and Josh Sanders and wife Ashley of Columbia; an aunt, Bonnie Abini of New Jersey; two neices: Raven Sanders of the home and Zoey Sanders of Columbia; a nephew, Christopher McKeehan of the home and a grandmother, Sarah Riggs of New Jersey. Mr. Sanders was predeceased by maternal grandfather, Ellis Riggs and his paternal grandparents James Sanders and Lucille Sanders Blackwell.

Funeral services will be held 2:30 PM Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at Duncan Acres United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Merritt Wentz. Burial will be in Rosemont Cemetery.

Steven Charles Beason

Steven Charles Beason, age 57 of 107 Spruce Street, Union, SC passed away suddenly Friday, August 31, 2012 at Wallace Thomson Hospital.

Steve was born in Omaha, Nebraska February 20, 1955, the beloved son of Annie Belle “Teeny” Inman Beason and the late Harold Marvin Beason. He was a self-employed cabinet maker and was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church where he served as sound technician. Steve was a very loving and caring person, a friend to all.

Surviving in addition to his mother are many special cousins.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, September 3, 2012 at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Donna Eidson. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens.
