Rita Sherrin Sumner

December 26, 2019 Mrs. Rita Sherrin Sumner, age 60, wife of Willie Edgar "Billy" Sumner of 117 Sunview Lane, Prosperity, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at her home. Mrs. Sumner was born in Monroe, NC, October 31, 1959, a daughter of the late Claude and Lucille Deason Sherrin. She was a graduate of Lancaster High School and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving in addition to her husband, are a son, Darryl Sumner and wife Susan of York; two brothers, Dale Sherrin and wife Sally of Kershaw and Kent Sherrin and wife Kathy of Denver, NC; a granddaughter, Tori Sumner and a grandson, Dalton Sumner both of York; two nephews, Scott Medlin and wife Kim of Prosperity and Hamp Sherrin and wife Cherlyn of Lancaster; a niece Renne Willis of Georgia along with several other nieces and nephews. No services are scheduled at this time. The family will be at their respective homes
