Mrs. Aileen Horne Garner, age 94 of 272 Poplar Rd., Jonesville, widow of Everette W. Garner, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Dillon Point. Mrs. Garner was born in Gaffney, SC February 15, 1920, a daughter of the late Oscar Horne and Ila Whelchel Horne. She was a member of Mt. Joy Baptist Church where she was a member of the Ruth Farr Sunday School Class. Mrs. Garner was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are a grandson, Everette Gerald Sinclair of Jonesville; a great-granddaughter, Mary Beth Elizabeth Sinclair; a sister-in-law, Peggy Horne of Union and a special niece, Jeanette Redmon of Union. Mrs. Garner was predeceased by a daughter, Eunice Elizabeth Garner Sinclair. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, November 16, 2014 at Mt. Joy Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Alan West. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Wayne Garner, Rick Poole, Kent Garner, Wayne Hutcherson, Ned Bell and Roy Little. Members of Mrs. Garner's Sunday School Class are asked to sit in a group. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM Saturday evening at the SR Holcombe Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Mt.
