Alan Lee Gowan

March 8, 2017 Mr. Alan Lee Gowan, age 58, husband of Pamela Price Gowan of 1013 Meansville Rd., Union, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at his home. Mr. Gowan was born in Union, SC March 31, 1958 a son of the late Charles Richard Gowan and Helen Louise Tucker Gowan. He was a graduate of Union High School and retired from Monarch Mill. Mr. Gowan was a member of Westside Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Daniel Lee Gowan and David Alan Gowan both of Union; one brother, Charles Richard Gowan, II of Union; and three grandchildren, Daniel Alan Gowan, Brianne Nicole Gowan and Charles David Gowan. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, March 10, 2017 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. Daniel Blackwell. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be, Glenn Berry, Alan Wilson, Johnny Ward, Jamie Queen, Kyle Newton, Donnie Fowler, Travis Howell, and Tyler Whitlock. Visitation will be held from 12:45 PM until 1:45 PM prior to the services at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Gentiva Hospice, 905 E. Main St., Suite 2, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
