Alan A Hines

Mr. Alan A. Hines. age 61, husband of Monica Dale Hines, of 517 Summit Dr. Lockhart, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2025.

Mr. Hines was born May 25, 1964, in Union, a son of the late Don Hines and the late Ramoth Austin O'Shields and her husband Frank O'Shields. He was a member of Brown's Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Hines was a painter by trade and retired from Sam Harris Painting.

In addition to his wife, Monica, Mr. Hines is survived by his daughters, Chelsey Wilson and her friend Jamal Dawkins of Union, Leslie McCoy and her husband Zach of Spartanburg, Alaina Byrd and her husband Ljahh also of Spartanburg and a stepson, Christopher Wilson and his wife. Tara Lynn of Leland, NC. He is also survived by grandchildren, Taliyah Mitchel (the love of his life), Christian Wilson, Natalie Wilson, Eason Wilson, Conner Wilson, Sophia Smith, Izabella Smith, Amelia Smith, Mallery McCoy and William McCoy, sisters, Laura Crisp (David), Kristy Griffin (Al), brother-in-law, Joey Blackwell (Doni), sister-in-law, Lisa Shetley (Ronnie) and his mother-in-law, Mary Austin. Mr. Hines was predeceased by a sister, Janet Hines and a brother, Scotty Hines.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM , Sunday, June 8, 2025 at S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel, conducted by Rev. Ricky Cook. Burial will follow at Brown's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Sunday at the chapel prior to the funeral services.

Active pallbearers will include Joey Blackwell and Jamal Dawkins.
