Alberry Sullivan Fleming, Sr.

November 1, 1947 — January 20, 2014

Mr. Alberry Sullivan Fleming, Sr., age 66, husband of Gloria Hall Fleming of 208 Tinsley Rd., Pacolet, passed away Monday, January 20, 2014 at his home. Mr. Fleming was born in Spartanburg, November 1, 1947, a son of the late Ernest Owens and Kathryn Fleming Godfrey. He was a retired business man and owner and operator of Pacolet Gun and Pawn. Mr. Fleming was active in his community, an avid hunter and a supporter of Autism Speaks. He attended Brown's Chapel Baptist Church in Pacolet Mills. Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Tammy Burnett of Spartanburg and Mitzi Turner and husband Gerald of Pauline; one son, Alberry Sullivan Fleming, Jr. "Corky" and wife Amanda of Pacolet; a sister, Bonita O. Robinson of Pacolet; four brothers, Roger Owens, Jerry Owens, Timmy Owens and Joey Owens all of Spartanburg; seven grandchildren, Christopher "Skip" Turner, Kacie Turner, Braxton Alberry Fleming, Lacie Turner, Gerald Wayne "G.T" Turner, Jr., Alberry Sullivan Fleming, III "Cabry", and Gainan Alberry Fleming; and two great-grandchildren, Braylon Furr and Lyla Turner. Mr. Fleming was predeceased by a son, Timothy Epting and a brother, Randy Owens. Memorials services will be held 3:00 PM Friday, January 24, 2014 at Brown's Chapel Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Ralph Jett. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday evening at the Holcombe's Jonesville Chapel and after the services Friday at the home. The family will be at the home, 208 Tinsley Rd., Pacolet.
