Aleshia S. Gruver

Mrs. Aleshia Scott Gruver, age 51, wife of Joseph "Jank" Gruver of 106 S. Evans St., Union, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2023 at Spartanburg Medical Center after an extended illness.

Mrs. Gruver was born in Canton, NC, February 10, 1972, a daughter of Debra Sams Scott of Spartanburg and the late David Scott. Mrs. Gruver formerly worked as manager at Provident Bank on the by-pass in Union. Aleshia was always involved in community activities, being a member of the Civitan Club and volunteering for Meals on Wheels. She was a member of Mon Aetna Baptist Church and was a loving wife and mother.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Hayden Meadows and Joseph Brett Gruver both of Union; a sister, Andrea S. Proctor and husband Jason of Union; an aunt, Dianna Buckner and husband David of Canton, NC and several other extended family members.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, October 13, 2023 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Bob Cato. Visitation will be held Friday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the chapel prior to the services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Union Co. Meals on Wheels, PO Box 951, Union, SC 29379.

The family will be at the home, 106 S. Evans St., Union.
