Alice I. Smith

March 4, 2017 Mrs. Alice Inman Smith, age 62 of 703 Ballenger Rd., Gaffney, widow of John Frederick Smith, passed away Friday, March 3, 2017 Mary Black Health Center in Gaffney. Mrs. Smith was born in Union, April 29, 1954, a daughter of the late Ernest Inman, Sr. and Laura Inman Inman. She was retired from Hamrick Mills and was a member of Skull Shoals Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Lori Ann Crenshaw of the home; a sister Alma Durham and husband Alvin of Pacolet; three brothers, Larry Inman and wife Becky and Allen Inman all of Chesnee and Ernest Inman, Jr. of Union; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Smith was predeceased by four children, four sisters, and four brothers. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Skull Shoals Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Randy Phillips. Active pallbearers will be Charles Atkins, James Atkins, Jamie Sullivan and Andy Hames. Mrs. Smith will be carried to the home, 703 Ballenger Rd., Gaffney, on Sunday afternoon where the family will receive friends.
