Alice C. Williamson

Mrs. Alice Mae Cordwell Williamson, age 85, widow of William Lewis "Bill" Williamson, Jr., passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021, at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Mrs. Williamson was born in Berlin, NH, April 24, 1936, a daughter of the late Ralph Harlan Cordwell and Beulah Hodgdon Cordwell. She was the retired owner of Grandma's House Daycare and was always known to her children's friends and associates affectionally as "Grandma".  Mrs. Williamson served alongside her husband Bill when he was Minister of Music at Westside Baptist Church and then at Bogansville United Methodist Church where she was a member. She was also a member of the United Methodist Women at Bogansville.

Surviving are three sons, Ralph Williamson and wife Vicki of Lexington, KY, David Williamson and wife Cris of Jacksonville, FL and Steve Williamson and wife Angela of Greer. Her grandchildren are Amy and Franklin Frye, Kara and Matt Anderson, Tyler and Ashley Williamson, Melanee and Josh Williams, Kevin and Jennifer Conrad, Russell Dalton, David and LeeAnn Williamson and Allison Williamson; great grandchildren are, Connor and Sarah Williamson, Bryson and Bryn Williams, Kameron, Jacob, Luke, and Madisyn Conrad, Michaela and Madelyn Frye, and Hannah and Harper Anderson. She is also survived by her dear K-9 friend, Boobear.  Mrs. Williamson was predeceased by a brother, Eugene "Buck" Cordwell.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Bogansville United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Wally Culp and Rev. Gary Peterson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Wednesday at the church prior to the service.

Active pallbearers will be Franklin Frye, Matt Anderson, Tyler Williamson, Kevin Conrad, Russell Dalton, David Williamson, Jr. and Joshua Williams.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Dr., Spartanburg, SC 29303.

The family will be at the home of her son, Steve and Angela Williamson, 271 Perry Rd., Greer SC 29651.
