Alma C (Christianson) O'Shields

Mrs. Alma Christiansen O'Shields, age 91 of 1655 Meadow Woods Rd., Buffalo, widow of James B. O'Shields, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2024 at Union Medical Center.

Mrs. O'Shields was born in Maine, June 11, 1933, a daughter of the late Christie Thomas Christiansen and Ellen Olda Danielson Christiansen.  She was a graduate of the University of South Carolina at Union.  Mrs. O'Shields was retired from Meansville-Riley Road Water District and Buffalo Methodist Church.  She was a member of Buffalo Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Pat Ford Sunday School Class, was a part of the Church Bible School Committee, and helped with the Children's Ministries.

Surviving are a son, Jiggs O'Shields of Buffalo; a grandson, Sean O'Shields and wife Amber of Buffalo; a granddaughter, Kelly Boulware of Buffalo; a great-grandson, Julian O'Shields; a sister, Rachel Cartwright of Chesapeake, VA; and a number of nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a sister, Ellen Taylor and two brothers, Christy Allen Christianson and Tom Christianson.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, December 27,2024 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. Kevin Dalton.  Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Jonathan Inman, Philip Boulware, Tanner Marino, and Greg Medford,

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM prior to the services at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
