Amanda Rose Thomason

February 20, 2018 Miss Amanda Rose Thomason, age 41 of 761 Bentley Town Rd., Union, passed away Saturday February 17, 2018 at Duke University Medical Center, Durham, NC. Miss Thomason was born in Union, SC October 25, 1976, a daughter of Charles Lynnwood Thomason and Marshall Messer Thomason of Sharon. She was employed with River Mart in Lockhart and attended Lockhart Freewill Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to her parents are two daughters: Shelby Marie Gibson and Shyann Rose Gibson of Union; a fiancée, Jamie Gibson of Union and two nieces, Alyssa Thomason and Savannah Thomason of Chester. Miss Thomason was predeceased by her brother, Charles Lee Thomason. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Lockhart Freewill Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Sam Baine. Burial will be in Lockhart Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Rusty Thomason, Luke Thomason, Roger Thomason, Justin Larson, Ronnie Thomason and Ricky Simon. Visitation will be held 1:00- 2:00 PM Thursday in the church prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Amanda Thomason Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 293, Union, SC 29379. The family is at the home of her parents, Charles and Marshall Thomason, 5156 Cabal Road, Sharon, SC 29742.
