May 24, 2016 died May 23, 2016 in Columbia, S.C., after a brief illness. Andrew was born on January 21, 1946 in Cardiff, Wales. At the age of 16 he joined the Army and completed 6 years of service which included a stint in the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, and 2 years in Cyprus. Andrew graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Wales with a degree in Economics. He subsequently earned an MA in Modern History and a JD from the University of South Carolina. He then pursued an extensive career in Financial & Legal Management, having been employed by Arthur Anderson & Co. as a Chartered Accountant in their London & Atlanta Offices. Andrew later was hired as CFO of U.S. Capital in Columbia, S.C., served as Gen. Counsel & CFO of Strategic Resources Corp., and most recently joined 3 former colleagues, in Compass South as a partner in timberland consulting. In addition to his own business career, Andrew teamed up with his wife Susan Berry to establish Cucina which they owned & operated successfully for several years. Andrew's adventurous spirit inspired him to join 40-50 Americans & Europeans in driving his 1969 Morgan 4/4 in the "Morgans Over America Drive" from San Francisco to New York. In following another dream, he later enlisted friends Ervin Grove & Blaine Parks as they sailed Andrew's Island Packet Sailboat, Gemima, across the Atlantic to his homeland, Cardiff, Wales. Andrew is survived by his wife Susan, his daughter Zoe Alexandra Le Brun, her husband Richard, their two children Matthew & Sam, numerous nephews & nieces, and his two dogs, Boomer & Bella. Friends are welcomed to visit Susan & family members at their home, 1820 Enoree Ave., Columbia, on Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 4:30-7:30 p.m A celebration of Andrew's full & adventurous life will be enjoyed with family & friends at a later time at their country cottage, Dunberry, on Oak Grove Farm in Union, S.C.
