Mrs. Angela Alexander Mayson, age 52, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015 at the Lexington Medical Center after a thirteen year battle with breast cancer. Mrs. Mayson was the wife of 25 years of Morgan H. Mayson of 241 Sandstone Rd., Columbia, SC. Mrs. Mayson was born in Union, January 21, 1963, a daughter of Carroll H. Alexander, Sr. and Brenda Sims Alexander of Union. She was a graduate of Union High School and a 1985 graduate of Benau University in Gainesville, GA. Mrs. Mayson was a 25 year employee with S.C. Farm Bureau and was a member of Riverland Hills Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to her husband and parents are a daughter, Alexis Morgan Mayson and a son, Kyle Hampton Mayson both of the home; two brothers, Carroll H. Alexander, Jr and wife Michelle of Union and Chris Alexander and wife Jenifer of Columbia; her mother-in-law: Helen Mayson of Spartanburg; a sister-in-law; Victoria Mastrovito and husband Nick of Check, VA and a brother-in-law; Charles Mayson and wife Shelia of Petersburg, VA, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Riverland Hills Baptist Church, 201 Lake Murray Blvd., Irmo, SC 29063, conducted by Rev. Dr. Ed Carney. Burial will be at 3:00 PM Wednesday at Union Memorial Gardens, 1720 Whitmire Hwy., Union SC 29379, conducted by Rev. Brad Goodall. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday at Riverland Hills Baptist Church. Active pallbearers will be Bill Courtney, Ron Adams, Cody Alexander, Bryson Alexander, Al Adams, Dane Elder, Brooks Mayson and Blake Elder. Honorary pallbearers will be SC Farm Bureau Insurance Family, Doug Mader and family, Chris and Melanie Daniels and family, Terri Dinwiddie, Mr. Melvin, Bill and Lois Mills, Mark Wade and Ricky Harris.
