Anne Harmon Lipsey

Mrs. Anne Harmon Lipsey, age 83, of 205 Park Dr., Jonesville, widow of Harold Gene "Bud" Lipsey, Sr., passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Lipsey was born in Jonesville, March 6, 1934 a daughter of the late Boyd Harmon and Julia Lawson Harmon. She was a graduate of Jonesville High School and Cecil's Business College. Mrs. Lipsey was retired from Western Auto Store in Jonesville. She was a member of Jonesville Baptist Church where she had previously taught Sunday School, and was a member of Happy Hearts, WMU, and a former member of the Choir. Surviving are two sons, Gene "Doc" Lipsey and wife Nancy of Jonesville and David Lipsey and wife Daphne of Spartanburg; two grandsons, Kyle Lipsey of Irmo, SC and Jordan Lipsey of Spartanburg, SC; two granddaughters, Samantha Billings and Brooke Billings both of Spartanburg; and one great grandson, Michael Tanner Lipsey of Irmo, SC. She was predeceased by one sister, Sarah Osment Jones. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Jonesville Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Scott Cannon and Rev. Ralph Brown. Burial will follow at Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jeff Addis, Donald Addis, Steven Addis, Jason Fowler, Greg Fowler, and Barry Tweed. Visitation will be held 1:30 until 3:00 PM Thursday prior to the services at the Church. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 156 Milestone Way, Suite A, Greenville, SC 29615. The family is at the home of her son, "Doc" and Nancy Lipsey, 635 Littlejohn Rd., Jonesville, SC 29353.
