Anne Lawson Moore

Mrs. Anne Lawson Moore, age 88, of 2127 Buffalo-West Springs Hwy., Buffalo, widow of Robert Donald "Don" Moore, Sr., passed away Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Mrs. Moore was born in Union Co., October 22, 1934, a daughter of the late Boyce and Carrie Mae Stevens Lawson. She was a graduate of Union High School and received a bachlors degree from the University of South Carolina, Spartanburg. She was a retired Teacher's Assistant having worked with the Union Co. School District.  Mrs. Moore was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church where she had served in the Nursery Department for 53 years.

Surviving are a son, Thomas Lawson "Tommy" Moore of Spartanburg; a granddaughter, Carrie Montgomery Moore (Beth Dallas Moore) of Johns Island, SC; a daughter-in-law, Edelyn Moore Wilson (Charlie Wilson) of Jonesville; two great-grandchildren, Memphis Edward Moore and Hendrix Caroline Moore and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Moore was predeceased by a son, Robert Donald "Donnie" Moore, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Buffalo Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Doug Estes and Rev. Lynn Ford. Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 3:00 PM Tuesday at the church prior to the services. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Charlie Wilson, Jason Lipsey, Scott Farmer, Kevin Farmer, Carol Upton and Doug Johnson.

The following are asked to form the honorary escort, Stanley and Brenda Wells, Bruce and Linda Betenbaugh, Carol and Mary Upton, Harold Palmer and Ruth Ann Anthony.
