Annie Ruth Robinson

May 21, 2015 Mrs. Annie Ruth Shetley Robinson, age 73 of 134 Ben Black Rd., Union, widow of Walter Jack Robinson, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2015. Mrs. Robinson was born in Union, SC February 9, 1942, a daughter of the late Woodrow Wilson "Fat" Shetley and Dorothy Johnson Smith. She retired from Milliken & Company and also the S.C. Department of Corrections. Mrs. Robinson was a member of Fairforest Baptist Church where she was an active member of the Young at Heart. Surviving are four sons: Kenneth Wayne Shetley and wife Sherry, Harold Eugene Shetley and wife Samantha, Robert Earl Shetley and wife Kelly and Dennis Mark Shetley and wife Cindy all of Union; a brother, James T. Shetley and wife Helen of Jonesville; seven grandchildren; a great-grandson, Kevin Knox reared in the home and six other great-grandchildren. Mrs. Robinson was predeceased by a son, Walter Ray Shetley and a sister, Carole Jean Shetley. A Memorial service will be held 4:00 PM Saturday, May 23, 2015 at the SR Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Allen Gregory. Visitation will be held in the chapel immediately following the service. The family would like to say a special "Thank You" to Robin, Kathy, Lindsey, Stacey and Blue Ridge Hospice for their care of Mrs. Robinson. A private burial will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Blue Ridge Hospice, 103B Boyce Street, Union, SC 29379. The family is at the home of her son, Robert Earl and Kelly Shetley, 130 Ben Black Rd., Union.
