Mr. Arthur Earl Puckett, age 86 of 787 Lovers Lane Rd., Union, went home to be with the Lord on February 16, 2025.

Mr. Puckett was born on November 6, 1938, a son of the late Earl and Lillie Bell Puckett.  He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.  Mr. Puckett was a Veteran of the United States Navy, worked in textiles, and was a faithful member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.  He loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting.  Mr. Puckett also loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years Lucy McGowan Puckett; a special niece, Barbara Lipsey Haney; two special sisters-in-law, Peggy Garner (Wayne) and Sadie Sumner (Roger); a special brother-in-law, Jack McGowan; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Violet Puckett Lipsey and two brothers, Bobby Lee Puckett and William Puckett.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by his nephew, James Michael McGowan.  Burial will follow at Rosemont Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM prior to the services.

The family would like to give a special thank you to his nurse, Donna Jolly, Chaplin Reche Ballenger, social worker Cheri Freeman, nurses aid Mechelle Ellis and Spartanburg Regional Hospice for all their care and help in this special time.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital, 905 W. Faris Rd., Greenville, SC 29605 or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
