Barbara Nell Hart

Mrs. Barbara Nell Grady Fore Hart, age 85, wife of Frank M. Hart, Sr., of 303 Birchwood Dr., Union, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Mrs. Hart was born in Cross Keys, December 13, 1937, a daughter of the late Toy and Estelle Stevens Grady. She was a graduate of Cross Anchor High School and retired from the Union County School System as a teacher's aide. Mrs. Hart worked for the Union County Voter Registration for over 20 years. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and a former member of Padgett's Creek Baptist Church where she had served as a Sunday School teacher, a Vacation Bible School teacher, church clerk and on the Bereavement Committee. She was first married for 40 years to the late Kelly C. Fore.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 15 years, Frank, are children, Steven K. Fore and wife Cindy, Mark Fore and wife Wanda all of Cross Keys, Samuel K. Fore and wife Katherine of Plano, TX, Amy Fore Kirksey and husband Charles of Simpsonville, Jane Hart Buggel and husband Bill of Hollywood, SC, June H. Watson and husband Marion of Summerville, Joyce H. Strickland and husband Rogers of Red Bay, AL, Frank M. Hart, Jr. and wife Dianne of Conway and Duncan Hart and wife Chris of Hillsboro, OR; two sisters, Reba Bishop and Debbie Cloyd both of Danville, KY; and a brother, Hugh M. Grady and wife Kay of Cross Keys. She is survived by grandchildren, Jamie F. Bowers and husband Kevin, Jenna Lea Fore, Suzannah Robinson, James Conrad Fore, Brian Key and wife Kelly, Edward Buggel, Mark Watson and wife Emily, Jacob Strickland and wife Belinda, John Strickland, Brooke Schmidt and husband Corey, and Ashley Farrell and husband Zac; eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hart was predeceased by a grandson, Matthew Watson and a brother, Edwin Grady.

The family wishes to say a special Thank You to the staff and nurses of Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, especially Dr. Kristi Ford-Scales for their care and compassion shown to Mrs. Hart and her family.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Grace United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Kevin Bowers. Burial will be at Padgett's Creek Baptist Church. Visitation will be held Saturday from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the church prior to the services.

Active pallbearers will be Dana Grady, David Grady, John Grady, Evan Ledford, David Ledford and Marion Ledford.

The family will be at the home of her son, Mark and Wanda Fore, 4085 Cross Keys Hwy., Union.
