Barbara A. Kircus “Nanny” Moore

Mrs. Barbara A. Kircus "Nanny" Moore, age 83, widow of James P. Moore, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2020 at Heartland of Union. Mrs. Moore was born December 29, 1936 in Pickens, a daughter of the late Henry Kircus and Mattie Evatt Kircus. She retired from Oakmont Nursing Center (Heartland) where she was the cook. Mrs. Moore was of the Baptist Faith. Surviving are two daughters, Cynthia Abee and husband John of Union and Sandra Woods and husband Robbie of Gaffney; a brother, Harley Kircus of Greenville; six grandchildren, Jennifer Arrington and husband Trey of Greer, Daniel Abee and wife Sarah Kate of Spartanburg, Matthew Abee and wife Betsy of Union, Bryce Duckett and wife Allison of Woodruff, Brett Duckett of Boiling Springs and Jayden Woods of Gaffney; and eleven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, David Moore, three sisters and two brothers. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, May 4, 2020 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Jerry Gossett. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the employees and staff of Heartland Healthcare Center for their love, care, and kindness shown to "Nanny" Moore.
