Barbara Mccall-Crayne

Mrs. Barbara Horne McCall-Crayne, age 67, of 406 Toney Rd., widow of Phillip A. Crayne, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, December 13, 2023, surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Crayne was born in Union, March 30, 1956, a daughter of the late Lewis E. and Mamie Lou Roark Horne. She was a 1974 graduate of Union High School where she was a cheerleader and actively served on the Reunion Committee. Barbara retired from the City of Union after working for 28 years.

She was a charter member of Glory Baptist Church and had served as Church Treasurer for many years. She loved her Lord, her church family, and her Pastor.

Surviving are two daughters, Kacie Petrie and husband Shane, and Megan McCall all of Union; a brother, Bobby Horne of Union; and two beloved grandsons who called her "Nana", Carson and Ethan. Barbara is also survived by her mother-in-law, Ruth Crayne; two sisters-in-law, Gloria Farr and husband Toney, and Judy Gallman and husband Dubby; several nieces and nephews including a special niece, Jessica Levister and many special friends. She was predeceased by a sister, Kathy H. Little and a sister-in-law, Betty Horne.

The family wishes to say a special Thank You to the staff and nurses of Agape Hospice especially, Ann Martin and Jamie Duncan for their care and compassion shown to Barbara and her family during her illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Glory Baptist Church conducted by Pastor David Sinclair and Mr. Josh Rochester. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers will David "Tubo" Owens, Freddie Crawford, Phillip Quinn, Brian Garner, Ed Wages and David Berry.

The family will be at the home of her daughter, Kacie and Shane Petrie, 408 Toney Rd., Union.
