Barbara Lemaster Mckinney

Mrs. Barbara LeMaster McKinney, age 79 of 1135 Meadow Woods Rd., Buffalo, widow of A.C. McKinney went home to be with the Lord Thursday, June 11, 2020.

Mrs. McKinney was born February 15, 1941 in Union, a daughter of the late Floyd Willard and Margaret Kingsmore Willard. She was first married to the late James E. LeMaster.  Mrs. McKinney was a graduate of Union High School and attended the University of South Carolina-Union. She worked at Ottaray Mill, Ace Sweater and other United Merchant Mills in Union. Mrs. McKinney was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and was currently attending New Life Baptist Church. She was an avid music lover of local bands and was one of the original members of the Ponder Family Band in the early 60's and 70's. Mrs. McKinney loved singing gospel and county music.

Surviving are three children, Larry LeMaster and wife Rhonda of the home; Rhonda Hudson and husband Arvie of Union, and Jamie LeMaster of Union; nine grandchildren, Gene LeMaster and wife Allison, Justin LeMaster and wife Chastity, Scarlett Gilkison and husband B.J., David Hudson, Alan Hudson, Tyler Hudson, Christopher LeMaster, Blake LeMaster, and A.J. LeMaster; seventeen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Tommy Willard and wife Dottie and Kenny Willard; two sisters, Brenda Groves and husband Joe and Kim Knox; and three special friends, Rebecca Reasoner, Hassie Willard Vaughan and Jackie Burns.  She was predeceased by a great-grandson, Miles Ray LeMaster; a sister, Carole Harrison; a brother, Donnie Willard, and a special friend, Ray Moss.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, June 14, 2020 at New Life Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Todd Davis and Rev. Shannon Faulkner.  Burial will follow at Rosemont Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Rickey Wix, Francis Ramsey, Perry Barber, Danny Groves, Rick McKinney, Ed Norman, Monty Paschall, and Sid Palmer.  All music groups where she participated are asked to sit in a group and form the honorary escort.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM prior to the services at the Church.
