Barbara Marie Robinson

Barbara Marie Robinson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend went home to be with her Heavenly Father on October 10, 2019. Mrs. Robinson passed away quietly at her home. Born in Union, November 18, 1940, Mrs. Robinson was the daughter of the late Maurice Grady and Mary Lois Gregory Adams and husband J.T. She was retired from Kid Connection in Spartanburg as a child-care worker and had formerly owned and operated Barbara's Clothing in Jonesville. Mrs. Robinson was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church in Pacolet. "Mrs. Barbara" was a precious friend to many; always with a smile, kind word and always willing to help others. She enjoyed taking care of her family and helped raise many children over the years. Her greatest joys were taking care of her husband, children and grandchildren which she said, "kept her young". Surviving in addition to her husband of 59 years, John M. Robinson are a son, John "Mike" Robinson and fiancée Lisa Adams of Union; a daughter, Lisa R. Morgan of Jonesville; a son, Chuck Sanders of Greenville; four grandchildren, Hunter Youngblood and wife Shay, Will Youngblood and wife Haley, Matthew Robinson and wife Kirsten and Kassidy Robinson; four great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Youngblood, Kori Youngblood, Mason Youngblood, and Ansley Youngblood and future great-granddaughter, Braelynn Nichole Robinson due in December. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Robinson was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth "Lib" Sanders. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, October 13, 2019 at the Holcombe's Jonesville Chapel, 145 Hames Ave., Jonesville, conducted by Rev. Jackie Carrigan. Burial will be in Jonesville Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Matthew Robinson, Will Youngblood, Hunter Youngblood, Sidney Robinson, Chuck Sanders and Chris Garner. Truett Garner and Gary Morgan are asked to serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 2:30 until 4:00 PM Sunday at the chapel prior to the services. The family will be at the home, 841 Littlejohn Rd., Jonesville.
