Mrs. Barbara Feemster Sprouse, age 80, of Jonesville Lockhart Hwy., Union, widow of Gene Sprouse, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2026 at her home.

Mrs. Sprouse was born in Mc Connells, July 9, 1946, a daughter of the late Wilson and Grace Carter Feemster. She was a graduate of York High School and attended Cecil’s Business College. Mrs. Sprouse was a member of Lockhart First Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher, a former member of the choir and had perfect attendance for many years.

Surviving are a daughter, Susan Hines and husband Joey of Inman; a brother, Ensley Feemster of Clemson and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Vernon Sprouse and a brother, Woodrow Feemster.

The family would like to say a special Thank You to Cresent Hospice and caregivers, Peggy, Nikki and Debra for all the love and care given to Mrs. Sprouse and her family.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, October 18, 2026 at Mt. Joy Baptist Church Fellowship Hall conducted by Rev. Dr. Steve Lemons. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 3:00 PM Sunday in the Fellowship Hall prior to the services.

The family will be at their respective homes.
