Barbara Lee Wilburn

November 25, 2016 Miss Barbara Lee Wilburn, age 81, of 221 Harwood Heights, Union passed away Thursday, November 24, 2016 at her home. Miss Wilburn was born in Union, September 17, 1935, a daughter of the late Robert Lee Wilburn and Gertrude Lehman Wilburn. She was a graduate of Union High School, a 1957 graduate of the University of South Carolina and received her a Master degree from Duke University. Miss Wilburn was a retired educator having taught school in South Carolina, North Carolina and Florida. She also worked with the Dept. of Social Services. Miss Wilburn was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are cousins, Michelle Young and husband Daniel, Robbie McGee and wife Amy all of Union, Paul McGee and wife Jamie of Columbia, Kitty Besherse and husband Wade, Joey Eubanks and wife Karen all of Florida and Julie Marsh and husband Robbie of Greenville. Also surviving are a number of other cousins. Miss Wilburn was predeceased by a brother Bobby Lehman Wilburn. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 PM Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Forest Lawn Cemetery conducted by Rev. Lynn Ford. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday evening at the S.R.
