Bennie Gregory Crisp

Mrs. Bennie Gregory Crisp, age 79, of 2717 Lockhart Hwy., Union, widow of Glenn Crisp, passed away Friday, March 1, 2019 at Inman Healthcare. Mrs. Crisp was born May 8, 1939 in Union, a daughter of the late Ben Gregory and Lavern Moore Gregory. She was retired as a South Carolina State Constable having worked most of her career as a crossing guard at Monarch Elementary School. Mrs. Crisp was a member of Brown's Creek Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Debbie Crisp Boyle of Union; a son, Thomas G. Crisp of Pennsylvania; two sisters, Grace Nave and Rachel Howell both of Union; five grandchildren, Tracy Bond, Melissa Sanders, Matthew Crisp, Montgomery Crisp, and Lindsay Crisp; and five great-grandchildren, Megan Garcia, Caleb Branch, Jayden Branch, Reanna Branch, and Caitlyn Riddle. She was predeceased by a son, Mickey Crisp. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, March 4, 2019 at Brown's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Walter Holcombe. Visitation will be immediately following the services at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Bennie G. Crisp Fund, P.O. Box 293, Union, SC 29379.
