Benny R. Wright, Sr.

Mr. Benny Raymond Wright, Sr., age 71, widower of Wilma Haney Wright, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the Gaffney Medical Center. Mr. Wright was born in Cherokee Co., June 13, 1942 a son of the late John Claude Wright and Millie Peeler Wright. He was retired from Limestone Mills in Gaffney. Surviving are a daughter, Rhonda W. Reynolds and husband Alan with whom he made his home; four grandchildren, Jessica Wright, Jeffrey Wright, Candice Wright and Greg Anthony; one great-granddaughter, Delaney Price, seven sisters and one brother. Mr. Wright was predeceased by a daughter, Angela Marie Wright, two sons, Jeffrey O'Neal Wright and Benny Raymond Wright, Jr., and five brothers. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Tim Osment. Burial will be at Sardis Methodist Church Cemetery in Gaffney. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Tuesday prior to the services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Benny R. Wright, Sr. Fund, P.O. Box 293, Union, SC 29379. The family will be at the home, 105 Smoke Ridge Rd., Gaffney, SC.
