Bessie Bevis Brown

October 17, 2017 Mrs. Bessie Bevis Brown, age 64 wife of Fred T. "Tommy" Brown of 171 Pasture Dr., Union, passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at her home. Mrs. Brown was born March 21, 1953 in Union, SC a daughter of the late Johnny Carl Bevis and Annie Jennings Bevis Wages. She was retired from United Merchants-Buffalo Plant. Mrs. Brown was of the Baptist Faith. Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Lisa Harris and husband Trey of Roebuck and Rhonda Petty of Jonesville; one son, Dennis Malpass and wife Stacy of Union; one step-son, Kevin Brown and wife Tonya of Jonesville; six grandchildren, Brooke McDowell, Jesse Harris, Megan Petty, Dillon West, Collin Malpass, and Breann Malpass; seven great-grandchildren, Jayleigh, Teagan, Jayden, Zaylyn, Jersey, Easton, and Karley; and three brothers, Dennis Bevis and wife Mary of Inman, Dean Bevis and wife Beth of Lockhart, and Bruce Bevis of Inman. Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Friday, October 20, 2017 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. Brad Goodale. Burial will follow at Fairforest Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM Friday prior to the services at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. The family is at the home, 171 Pasture Dr., Union, SC 29379.
