Betty Jean "Jeanie" Belue

Mrs. Betty Jean "Jeanie" Shrader Belue, age 55, of Lockhart, passed away suddenly, Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at her home.

Mrs. Belue was born in Union, April 1, 1969, a daughter of the late Franklin and Lillian Beheler Shrader. She was a graduate of Lockhart High School and received a degree in Early Childhood Development from Spartanburg Technical College. She retired from the Spartanburg Regional Child Development Center and afterwards kept children in her home. Mrs. Belue served on the Board of Directors of the Lockhart Fire Dept. and formerly served on the Lockhart Parade Committee. She attended Lockhart First Baptist Church and was an avid Clemson Tigers and Atlanta Braves fan.

Surviving are her fiancé, Bo Belue of the home; a sister, Sherri Johnson and husband Paul of Union; two brothers, Larry Burgess, Jr. and wife Mickey and Ray Burgess and wife Mo all of Union; three special cousins, Kailyne Parker, Oaklyn Robertson and Olivia Robertson, and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her fur baby, Lucy. She was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Mack Johnson, a niece, Jessica Burgess and a nephew, Travis Turner.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, April 12, 2024 at Lockhart First Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Drew Rogers, Rev. Donald Childers and Rev. Gonzale Childers. Burial will follow at Lockhart Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Friday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the church prior to the services.

Active pallbearers will be Lee Brannon, Clint Smallwood, Joseph Rumfelt, D.J. Long, Thomas Gugliucci and Justin Brannon.
