September 24, 2016 Mrs. Betty Bentley Webber, age 87, formerly of Baileytown Road, Union, widow of Pinckney S. Webber, Jr., passed away Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Pelham Medical Center. Mrs. Webber was born in Adamsburg Community of Union County, SC August 8, 1929, a daughter of the late William Bentley and Maggie Farr Bentley. She was a 1977 graduate of Lockhart High School and was a member of Lockhart United Methodist Church. Mrs. Webber was a member of the United Methodist Women, Red Hat Club, the Joy Club of Philippi Baptist Church and the Wesley Chapel Senior Citizen Group. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are two daughters: Pat Harris of Buffalo and Ava Pridemore and husband Dell of Duncan; three sons: Stanley Webber and wife Sara of Boiling Springs, Mike Webber and wife Donna of Duncan and Sammy Webber and wife Lynn of Lockhart; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Webber was predeceased by a grandson, Brad Mosley; four sisters, Janie E. Bentley, Kathleen Hutchins, Mildred McSwain and Frances Bentley and a two brothers, W.F. Bentley and Rev. Jesse Bentley. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, September 26, 2016 at Lockhart United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Jimmy Harper, Rev. Skip Synder and Rev. Merritt Wentz. Burial will be in Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Mrs. Webber's grandsons will serve as active pallbearers. The following will serve as the Honorary Escort: Joyce Haney, Pat Gibson, Brenda Clark, Sue Jackson and members of Wesley Chapel Senior Group. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM Sunday evening at the SR Holcombe Funeral Home.
