Mrs. Beuna Chambers Inman, age 87, of 106 Fant Lane, widow of James Hay Fant "Hady" Inman, passed away Monday, February 25, 2019 at her home. Mrs. Inman was born March 28, 1931 in Union, a daughter of the late James Norman Chambers and Anna Mitchell Chambers. She attended Union High School and retired from the Union County Council on Aging. Mrs. Inman was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Surviving are one son, Torance Inman and wife Bernice with whom she made her home; a daughter-in-law, Marilyn Holcombe and husband Walter of Union; a sister, Gwendolyn Fisher of Buffalo; three granddaughters, Angela Inman, Amanda Inman Gallman and husband Jeremy, and Lisa Inman Mullins; eight great-grandchildren, Christen E. Mayes and husband Jake, Savannah England, Caroline England, Norah Gallman, Joseph Gallman, Michael Foster, Hailey Mullins, and Brayden Mullins; two very special friends, Elaine Burgess and Joetta Edwards; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, James Hay Fant Inman, Jr., a granddaughter, Regina Inman England, and seven brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Fairview Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Ross Wilson. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 1:30 until 3:00 at the church prior to the services. Active pallbearers will be Jeremy Gallman, Jamison England, Michael Foster, Walter Holcombe, Phillip Fisher and Mark Lancaster. The following are asked to serve as the honorary escort, Sylvia and Gonzale Childers, Elaine Burgess, Joetta Edwards, Eddie Hulon, Dave Pursel, members of the Juanita Crocker's Sunday School Class and the nurses and caregivers of Cresent Hospice. The family would like to express a special "Thank You" the staff and nurses of Cresent Hospice for their care and love of Mrs. Inman during her illness.
