Billie Grace Whitehead

Mrs. Billie Grace Vaughn Whitehead, age 82, formerly of Union, widow of Frank Whitehead, passed away Monday, April 8, 2019 at White Oak Manor in Newberry. Mrs. Whitehead was born in Union, January 16, 1937, a daughter of the late William W. Vaughn and Grace Albright Vaughn. She retired from Piggly Wiggly having worked in retail grocery for over 40 years. Mrs. Whitehead was of the Baptist faith and had attended First Baptist Church and Tabernacle Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Patricia Alman of Ohio; two grandchildren, Jenifer Bradley and husband Mitch of Chapin and Frankie Alman and wife Tammy of Ohio; two sisters, Shirley DeBruhl and husband Ray of North Carolina and Katheryn Jolly of Union; a brother, William W. "Junior" Vaughn and wife Tomi of Union; three great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Blake Alman and Alyssa Shipley. Mrs. Whitehead was predeceased by a daughter, Rebecca Tyler, two sisters, Dorothy Fant and Mary Gregory and two brothers, Harry and Harley Vaughn. Graveside service were held Thursday, April 11, 2019, at Lower Fairforest Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Rob Williams. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
