Billy Charles Anthony

September 23, 2017 Mr. Billy Charles Anthony, age 39, husband of Lona S. Dantzler Anthony of 109 Peay Avenue, Union, passed away Friday, September 22, 2017 at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Mr. Anthony was born in Union, SC October 14, 1977, a son of Dianne Summer Anthony of Buffalo and the late Thomas Dale Anthony, Sr. He was a graduate of Union High School and Spartanburg Technical College. Mr. Anthony was employed as an Automotive Tech Master with Big O Dodge. He served as a Recreational Coach, coaching the Bengals Football Team. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Kensleigh Storm Anthony of the home; three sons: Dakota R. Anthony of the home, Zachery A. Young serving in the US Army and Corey A. Johnson of the home: a sister, Christy Casey and husband Chris of Buffalo; a brother, Dee Anthony and wife Beth of Union; a special brother-in-law, Elijah Dantzler and wife Katelyn of Wellford; an aunt, Kelly Holt; an uncle, Dale Summer of Buffalo; nieces and nephews: Jacob, Kalyn and Thomas "Lifter" Casey, D.J. and Emily Anthony; special cousin, Jan Chapman; special friends, Tack and Lara Brown and family, Flame and Kayce Heatherly and Cromer. Mr. Anthony was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Charles and Norma Summer; paternal grandparents, Billy and Pearlee Holt and an uncle, Steve Summer. Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at SR Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev Mark Truitt. Burial will be in Rosemont Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Keith Travis, Terry Sanchez-Lewis, Jacob Casey, D.J. Anthony, Robbie Vanderford and William Mosley. Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Howell, Sr. and Flame Heatherly. Visitation will be held 7:00-9:00 PM Monday evening at the SR Holcombe Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Billy Anthony Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 293, Union, SC 29379.
