Billy Kelly

March 14, 2018 Mr. Billy Kelly, age 95, of 557 Gist Bridge Rd., Buffalo, widower of Elliotte Lancaster Kelly, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mr. Kelly was born July 13, 1922 in Buffalo a son of the late Thomas Norman Kelly and Pauline Lancaster Kelly. He was a graduate of West Springs High School and was retired from the South Carolina Department of Transportation. Mr. Kelly was a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II in the European Theater where he was in the Anti-Tank Company, 398th Infantry. He was a member of Putman Baptist Church where he was active in his Sunday School class and the Senior Citizens Group as long as his health permitted. Mr. Kelly was a member of American Legion Post 22 and the V. F.W. Surviving is one daughter, Jean Smith of Boiling Springs; two granddaughters Christi Yeatts and husband Jason and Kim Smith all of Boiling Springs; and one great-granddaughter, Julianna Yeatts of Boiling Springs. He was predeceased by one daughter, Frances Rebecca Brown and one brother, Robert H. Kelly. Memorial services will be held 4:00 PM Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Putman Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Tommy Mann. Visitation will be held 3:00 until 4:00 PM prior to the services at the church. Memorials may be made to Putman Baptist Church, 3692 Buffalo West Springs Highway, Buffalo, SC 29321 or to Bogansville United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 4050 Buffalo West Springs Highway, Jonesville, SC 29353.
