Billy Ray White

June 23, 2016 Mr. Billy Ray White, age 60, of 224 Oakland Rd., Union, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2016. Mr. White was born in Union, May 12, 1956, a son of the late Walter William White and Annie Ruth Campbell White. He was retired from General Motors after 25 years of service and was a veteran of the US Marine Corps. Surviving are a son, Cody White of Stenton, MI; his girlfriend, Julie Tollison Gregory of Union; two brothers, Donald Ray White of Jacksonville, FL and Kenneth Wayne White of Flint, MI and his beloved pet dog Buddy. Funeral services with Military Honors will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Lakeside Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Scott Cobb. Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Jennings and "Buddy", Ronnie Yount, Tanner Petty, Dennis "Pee Wee" Greer, Travis Nance, Tyler Howell and David Owens. Visitation will be held at the church from 12:00 until 2:00 PM Saturday prior to the services. Memorials may be made to Lakeside Baptist Church, Building Fund, 640 Lakeside Dr., Union, SC 29379 or to the DAV, 6437 Garner's Ferry Rd., Columbia, SC 29209. The family will be at the home 224 Oakland Rd., Union.
