Obituary

Mrs. Bobbie Trantham Barber, age 86, widow of Charles Larry Barber of 531 Summit Drive, Lockhart, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2026, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Barber was born June 16, 1940, in Union, a daughter of the late William T. Trantham and Gaynelle Franklin Trantham. She was a graduate of Union High School and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Barber worked in the forestry industry, where she served as a clerical specialist until her retirement. She was a woman of deep faith and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Mrs. Barber found great joy in gardening and tending to her flowers, but her greatest treasure was the time she spent with her family. She will be lovingly remembered for her faith, kindness, love, and devotion to those who meant so much to her.

Mrs. Barber is survived by sons, Paul D. Barber of Union and Chuck O. Barber of Lockhart, and a sister, Andrea T. Whitener of Union. She is also survived by grandsons, Drew Thomas Manibusan, and Zachary Paul Manibusan, great granddaughters, Remi-Elise Manibusan and Savannah Foster and a son-in-law, Tommy Manibusan (Robbie). Mrs. Barber was predeceased by a daughter, Lisa Barber Manibusan, and siblings, Sara T Belue, Tommy Trantham, Mary Hodge, Myrtle Bolton, Wayne Trantham, Rebekah DeBruhl, Linda T Betenbaugh and Billy L Trantham.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM, Sunday, September 13, 2026 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel, conducted by Rev. Robert Jarvis. Burial will follow the services at Union Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Dustin Trantham, Kyle Trantham, Lance Trantham, David Trantham, Corey Dempsey, Paul Dempsey, Patrick Camacho, and Philip Camacho. The following are requested to sit as Honorary Pallbearers, Bryan DuBell, Darryl DeBruhl, Max DeBruhl, Allen Whitener, and Bryan DuBell.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM Sunday, September 13, 2026 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel prior to the funeral services.

The family is at the home, 531 Summit Drive, Lockhart.
