May 7, 2017 Mrs. Bobbie Ruth Greer Cudd, age 90, entered her heavenly home, while resting at Regional Hospice Home surrounded by her loving family, Saturday, May 6, 2017. She was the widow of J.T Cudd. Mrs. Cudd was born in Union, SC, on July 14, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Walter Jack Greer and Lillian Bailey Greer. She attended Union High School. A dedicated employee, she retired from Community Cash Grocery store. Mrs. Cudd was a member of Fairforest Baptist Church for sixty-one years, where she had been an active member of the Young at Heart, Women's Missionary of Union and the Ladies Sunday School Class III of her church. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and sharing with others. Miss Bobbie Ruth was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her quick wit and laughter will be missed by all. Surviving are a daughter, Susan James and husband Mike of Greenville; two sons, David Cudd and wife Donna of Union and Rick Cudd of Moore; four grandchildren, Richie Cudd of Inman, Candice Cudd Hardiman and husband Jeff of Maryville, TN, Jon Cudd and wife Brooke of Adairsville, GA, Brittany Cudd Fussell and husband Austin of Moore; six great-grandchildren, Storm, Jamie, Will, Anabelle, Hallie and Brooks; two sisters, Elsie Eve of North Augusta; Sadie McWhite of Union and a sister in law Frances Greer of Union. Mrs. Cudd was predeceased by her husband, J.T. and a brother, Bailey Greer. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Fairforest Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Mark Truitt and Rev. Wayne Cooke. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be the Ladies Sunday School Class III and the Young at Heart. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service at Fairforest Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Fairforest Baptist Church Fund, 1917 Jonesville Hwy., Union, SC 29379. The family would like to thank her family, friends, Fairforest Baptist Church, Heartland Assisted Living, Blue Ridge Hospice and Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home for the wonderful care, visits, cards and calls that brought so much joy and comfort.
