Bobby J. Birch

Mr. Bobby Jack Birch, age 82, formerly of Gregory St., Union, widower of Cloia Birch, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2023 at the Richard M. Campbell Veterans Home in Anderson.

Mr. Birch was born in Union, December 16, 1940, a son of the late Carl and Lillian Willard Birch. He was a graduate of Union High School and Cecil's Business College. Mr. Birch retired from Carolina Express Delivery and was formerly the manager of Sears in Union. He had also worked in sales with WBCU Radio. Mr. Birch was a member of Faith Community Church (Union Church of God) and was a founding member of the Bob Birch Singers. He served his country by serving in the US Navy.

Surviving are a son, Rodney Birch and wife Tracie of Six Mile; a grandson, Alex Birch; a granddaughter, Annah B. Allen and husband Baker and a great-granddaughter, Amelia Allen. He is also survived by two sisters, Margaret Birchfield of Union and Cyndi Birch of Jacksonville, FL and a brother, Donald Birch of Union. He was predeceased by two infant daughters, Susan and Melanie; two sisters, Janelle Vinson and Shelby Matthews and a brother, Harold Birch.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Rosemont Cemetery conducted by Rev. James Lollis and Rev. Jonny Hodges.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:30 until 1:45PM at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers will be Alex Birch, Baker Allen, Ron Bratton, Kevin Birch, Ronald Birch and Steve Birchfield.

The family will be at their respective homes.
