Mr. Bobby M. Davis, age 82, husband of Jackie Orr Davis of 106 Corn St., Union, passed away Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Wallace Thomson Hospital surrounded by his family. Mr. Davis was born March 17, 1932 in Union, SC. the son of the late Elbert Davis and Bertie DeBrull Davis. He was a graduate of Union High School and a member of Morningside Baptist Church. Mr. Davis was retired after 49 years from Milliken Company-Monarch plant and was a veteran of the US Marines. Mr. Davis was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Surviving in addition to his wife of 57 years are a daughter, Patti Whitmire and special friend Miguel of Union; two sons, Artie Davis and wife Kim of Knoxville TN. and Monty Davis of Union; a God-son, Jay Orr of Spartanburg; five grandchildren, Deann Cody and husband Brandon of Union, Daniela Robbins and husband Travis of Inman, Logan Davis of TN., Mackenzie Orr and Bailey Burris both of Union; a great-granddaughter, Braylyn Cody; special friends, Connie Barfield and Cheryl and Kenny Arthur all of Union, special niece, Tammie Connoly and husband Song of FL. Graveside Services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, November 24, 2014 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Aubrey Calvert. The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service at the cemetery.
