Bobby Willis Helms

Mr. Bobby Willis Helms, age 90, husband of Rebecca Smith Helms of 164 Carem Rd., Union, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, December 5, 2020.

Mr. Helms was born in Union, August 11, 1930, a son of the late Thomas and Pearl Bullock Helms. He was retired as a Security Guard with Milliken and Co. and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Mr. Helms was a veteran of the US Army having served in the Korean War.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 63 years, Rebecca, are a daughter, Kathy Plexico and husband Curtis of Union; a granddaughter, Ashley Gough of Union, a grandson, Allen Plexico and wife Ashley of Moore; and seven great-grandchildren, Eli and Ethan Gough, Macey, Lucas Ellie Kate and Sullivan Plexico. Mr. Helms was predeceased by a sister, Helen Pace and two brothers, Harry Helms and Gene Helms.

The family would like to say a special Thank You to the staff and nurses of Crescent Hospice and the following caregivers, Laura Moss, Lib Gilliam, Deborah Bradburn and Mary Bailey, for their care of Mr. Helms during his illness.

Graveside services will be held 3:00 PM Monday, December 7, 2020 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Brian Redding. The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the services.

The family will be at the home of his daughter, Kathy and Curtis Plexico, 223 Harwood Heights, Union.
