Bobby Ray Hyatt

Mr. Bobby Ray Hyatt, age 85, husband of Margie Hyatt, of Union, passed away, Saturday, March 6, 2021 at his home.

Mr. Hyatt was born December 6, 1936 in Lockhart, a son of the late J.D. Hyatt and Mary Farr Hyatt.  He was a graduate of Lockhart High School and attended Spartanburg Methodist College.  Mr. Hyatt was retired from Torrington & Co.  He was a Veteran of the United States Army and the South Carolina National Guard.  Mr. Hyatt attended Mt. Joy Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a brother, Ernest G. Hyatt.  He was predeceased by a sister, Rebecca Stevenson.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Mt. Joy Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Brad Goodale.

Active pallbearers will be Bill Garner, Todd Sanders, Kris Garner, Nicholas Vanderford, Harrison Vanderford, and Samuel Elliott.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the services at Mt. Joy Baptist Church.

Due to the current health crisis the family ask that those in attendance follow COVID-19 Guidelines by wearing mask and social distancing.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
