Bobby Joe Jolly

Mr. Bobby Joe Jolly, age 89, of 121 Grant Rd., Union, widow of Alda Perkins Jolly, passed away, Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Mr. Jolly was born in Union, December 8, 1934, a son of the late Joseph and Dora Faye Thompson Jolly. He was a 1954 graduate of Union High School and was a retired textile worker. Mr. Jolly was a member of Lower Fairforest Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He enjoyed fishing, square dancing and watching wrestling. He was first married to the late Gladys Jolly.

Surviving are three sisters, Nancy Manus, Sarah Bledsoe and Evelyn Verden; several nieces and nephews including a special niece, Kathy Watts; three step daughters, Cheri Bumgardner, Sandra Owens and Jenny Davis all of Union; a step grandson, Michael Fields and wife Mary of Jonesville and a sister-in-law, Hattie Mae Seymore of Union.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Lower Fairforest Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Jim Cunningham. The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the services.

The family will be at their respective homes.
