Bobby Gene Lipsey

Mr. Bobby Gene Lipsey, age 80, husband of Joyce McKinney Lipsey, of 223 N. Main St., Jonesville, passed away Monday, May 4, 2020 at his home. Mr. Lipsey was born September 29, 1939 in Jonesville, a son of the late Willie Andrew Lipsey and Pauline Smith Lipsey.  He retired as a self-employed building contractor.  Mr. Lipsey was retired from the South Carolina National Guard—Jonesville Unit.  He was an active member of Gilead Baptist Church where he was a former Deacon.   Mr. Lipsey was a member of Prudence Masonic Lodge. Surviving in addition to his wife are six children, Phil Lipsey of Jonesville, Pam Lipsey Autry of Jonesville, Mark Lipsey and wife Margaret of Buffalo, Steve Lipsey of Union, Deborah Little Snapp and husband Richey of Pacolet, and Robbie Little and wife Patti of Jonesville; ten grandchildren, Heather Shook and husband Miles, Colt Lipsey and wife Chelsie, Justin Autry and wife Miranda, Josh Lipsey and wife Ashley, Jada Lipsey, Steven Lipsey, Colby Little, Tabitha Little, Zach Snapp, and Ashley Snapp; thirteen great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Betty "Fred" Proctor of Jonesville, Margie Littlejohn of Pacolet, and Joanne Barnes of Pacolet.  He was predeceased by two brothers, William Lipsey and Tye Lipsey. Graveside services with full Military Honors will be held at 4:00 PM Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at Gilead Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Dr. Eddie Saxon. Active pallbearers Colt Lipsey, Justin Autry, Josh Lipsey, Ronnie O'Dell, Colby Little, and Zach Snapp. Memorials may be made to Gilead Baptist Church, P.O. Box 38, Jonesville, SC 29353.
