Bobby Dennis Varner

Mr. Bobby Dennis Varner, age 79, of 208 Hames Ave., Jonesville, widower of Patricia Long Varner, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2017 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mr. Varner was born January 14, 1938, a son of the late L.D. and Christine Foster Varner. He was a graduate of Jonesville High School and received his bachelor degree from Wofford College. Mr. Varner retired from Delta Mills, Beattie Plant and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are two daughters, Kim V. Alexander and husband Chip and Kristie D. Roberson and husband John Michael all of Jonesville; one son, Dennis "Moose" Varner and wife Stephanie of Jonesville; three sisters, Patty Morrison, Mary Fleming and Vicki Vaughan all of Jonesville; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Randy Burgess. Visitation will be held at the Holcombe's Jonesville Chapel Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. The family will be at the home 208 Hames Ave., Jonesville.
