Bonita Joan Medford Turner

Mrs. Bonita Joan Medford Turner, age 68, wife of William Turner of 102 Blue Bird Rd., Union, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2017 at her home. Mrs. Turner was born in Waynesville NC September 11, 1948, a daughter of the late Charles Medford and Ruth Seay Medford. She was a graduate of Union High School and retired from Milliken & Co, Monarch Plant. Mrs. Turner was a member of Christian Fellowship Baptist Church where she was a member of God's Helpers Sunday School Class. She was a former member of the Union Quilt Club through the Clemson Extension. Surviving in addition to her husband are two sisters: Mary Ann Murphy and husband Robert of the Putman Community and Judith Elaine Scott and husband Kenny of the Monarch Community; two brothers: Wid Boone Medford and wife Marlene of Cuyahoga Falls, OH and Billy Medford and wife Barbara of Union and two grandchildren: Andrew Michael Turner of Buffalo and Kelsey Leigh Turner currently serving in the US Navy. Mrs. Turner was predeceased by her only son, David Michael Turner; a sister, Joyce Gail Gregory and two brothers: Darrell Thomas Medford and Charles Bryan Medford. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, July 30, 2017 at S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Randy Smith and Rev. Robert Scott. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be, Monty Sanders, Corey Davis, Mike Bledsoe, Paul Murphy, Kenny Scott, and Kevin Scott. Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 PM at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Christian Fellowship Baptist Church, 557 Kelly Rd., Union, SC 29379. The family will be at the home of her sister, Mary Ann Murphy, 3657 Buffalo-West Springs Hwy, Buffalo, SC 29321.
