Brady Smart

November 23, 2015 Mr. Brady Smart, age 65, husband of Dovie Fowler White Smart of 110 Oakridge Dr., Cowpens, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2015 at his home. Mr. Smart was born in Union, July 21, 1950, a son of the late Robert E. and Mildred Smith Smart. He was a graduate of Union High School and Spartanburg Technical College. Mr. Smart was a former electrician with Spartan Steel Co. and attended Oakdale Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the US Marines having served in the Vietnam War. Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Sharon Whitmire of Cowpens and Candice White of Summer Land Key, FL; two brothers, Robert Dale Smart and Charles William Smart both of Cowpens; four grandchildren, Gage Whitmire, Mason Whitmire, Hunter Whitmire and Jared Stone; and one great-grandsons, Braylon Whitmire. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Friday, November 27, 2015 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Chaplain Andy Jones. Burial with Military Honors will be held at Union Memorial Gardens. Mr. Smart's grandsons will serve as active pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 3:00 PM Friday at the funeral home prior to the services. The family will be at the home, 110 Oakridge Dr., Cowpens.
