Brenda L. Adams

August 3, 2015 Mrs. Brenda Lancaster Adams, age 71, wife of John Boyd Adams, Jr of 333 Pea Ridge Hwy, Jonesville, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Regional Hospice House. Mrs. Adams was born in Union, SC, November 3, 1943, a daughter of the late Claudie Lancaster and Bertha Lawson Lancaster. She was formerly employed with Family Dollar, Smith's Drug Store and retired from CVS. Mrs. Adams was a member of Welcome Baptist Church where she was a member of the Adult Ladies Sunday School Class. Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters: Julie Williams and husband Travis of New York and Lisa Carter and husband Keith of Union; two sons: John Adams and wife Jackie of Union and Jason Adams and wife Jill of Jonesville; two sisters: Helen Austin of Greer and Doris Addison of Union; two brothers: George Lancaster and James Lancaster both of Union; fifteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at Welcome Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Robert Jarvis. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Brandon Garner, Bronson Garner, Tyler Adams, Jason Adams, Jr., Preston Adams and Michael Lancaster. Member's of the Adult Ladies Sunday School Class are asked to sit in a group. Visitation will be held 1:00-3:00 PM Wednesday in the church prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Welcome Baptist Church, 206 Nichols Avenue, Union, SC 29379. The family is at the home of her son, John Adams, 321 Haney Cemetery Rd., Union.
