Brenda Sue (Adams) Blackwood

Mrs. Brenda Sue Adams Blackwood, age 76, of 199 Carol Lane, Spartanburg, widow of Kenneth "Joe" Blackwood, passed away, Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Mrs. Blackwood was born April 4, 1944 in Union, a daughter of the late Frances G. Adams.  She was a graduate of Union High School and attended Spartanburg Technical College.  Mrs. Blackwood retired as a Pharmacy Assistant from Scott Brother's Drug Store in Jonesville after 31 years of service.  She was a member of Gilead Baptist Church.

Mrs. Blackwood is survived by her son Kenny Blackwood and his wife Dolly of Spartanburg; two grandchildren, Camilla Joy "C.J." Coates and husband Brandon and Chancen Blackwood and wife Meredith; three great-grandchildren, Brailla Coates, Camdon Coates, and Manning Blackwood; a goddaughter, Carrie Faucett and her "little angel" Emma Inman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, December 18, 2020 at Gilead Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Dr. Eddie Saxon.

Active pallbearers will be Chancen Blackwood, Tommy Blackwood, James Bright, Jeffrey Bright, Brandon Coates, and David Faucett.
